Interesting conclusion to the story about the body found on a DL 772 at NRT.
Stowaway Long Dead By Philip Messing, The New York Post The body of a man found frozen to death aboard a jet bound for Japan from Kennedy Airport went undetected for nearly two months, sources said. The unidentified victim, a Nigerian national, was found early Monday by a mechanic inside the wheel well of Delta Air Lines Flight 59 at Narita Airport in Tokyo, authorities said. The man, who died from lack of oxygen, was carrying a Nigerian cellphone, sources said. Investigators believe he hid in the wheel well on December 17 - the last time the phone had been used - when the plane was in Lagos, Nigeria, for a flight bound for New York. Since then, the plane has logged tens of thousands of miles. A Delta spokeswoman said the airline followed all inspection procedures. |

Yeah, very surprising. Sadly, I'm about 2 spots too low on the upgrade list as well. :(

Well atleast you know your flight home is wide open. You should be able to stretch out and have the row to yourself.

ETA I have watched only a few minutes of the Olympics this year, and don't plan on watching much more. As I get older, I find it is important to keep your blood pressure under control, and repeatedly screaming at the television is not a good way to do that. I am just delighted about the prospect of another blizzard in the mid-Atlantic because I haven't shoveled snow in four days and my muscles are beginning to atrophy. |

Greetings from HR Irvine. There was a company hosted wine tasting, and the managers suggested that I stay near the office after the tasting. I had a whole glass of wine but decided to still stay down here. Hey, a stay is a stay. ^

My IAH-BPT flight this past Sunday night was loads of fun. We never climbed above about 3,000 feet, just high enough to get out of the gusty north wind that was battering the area. We had a crosswind landing at BPT while being tossed around by gusts over 40 MPH, and with only 13 people, including the crew, on board. Several times we were hit with gusts that made the plane feel like it had slammed into something head on in the air. At one point the side of the plane was visibly flexing in and out repeatedly as we were tossed around.
Oh, hi Box. |
