Thanks to BL & you for having us over. Nice pad you have there. You make some great chips!^

Indeed a good experience - thanks to the baglady / Plus1 / BL JR family for the weekend hospitality. I had far too many calories (but great conversation) in four consecutive meals; will need a few weeks with alli.

Just got home, very exhausted. Absolutely fantastic weekend provided by Baglady and Plus1. Great times were had by all, and it was exactly what Mrs. Mackie and I needed. Bed now.

Sounds like a long night. Speaking of long nights, I went back to the hotel and got online for students again.

Years ago, I may have considered staying up all night in a coffee shop or such. However I am experiencing what's probably an aging "FAIL". Think I should have gotten more than 2 hours' sleep.

I'm willing to be featured in a picture laying in a CO 777 Star Alliance logojet BF Flat Bed seat with the BBDS (Big Black Disco Stick) at full attention. The BBDS can even feature a Star Alliance logo temp tattoo for proper alliance tie-in.

Why does UA insist on DBCFREE tix as VDB comp instead of dollar vouchers?? My plane is over and I'm flexible but their GA says "free ticket only" as comp. Everyone loses. :(

It's all happening on a FS I can't mess with, and the copy has to be done a certain way for very specific technical reasons. It's not *really* just a copy... Long story.

Don't you have some Hyatt GoldPassport points to use at Park Hyatt Sydney? I've heard it's worth the experience.

Sure -- but it's a work trip and I wouldn't be reimbursed for something 3x the cost of other hotels, particularly if I spent points.

Give the GA a number and let the individual know he/she can pull you for a travel voucher in that amount?

What's also been known to work is to tell the GA that you don't live within the US right now and that such a USA-only ticket won't work for you. The rules state that they can give out $ vouchers if they want to...

Some GA's are just  - there was one flight on a CRJ I had volunteered as soon as the weight issue was announced. I'm fine being paid to not fly a CRJ. At the time of boarding, the GA wanted to IDB a young lady rather than take the VDB she had solicited. I had to gently suggest that IDB'ing someone would result in a less happy customer than giving me the VDB.

Nineteen minutes to clear security at IAH at 0544 this morning. Longest I've stood in security in quite a while.

Good morning, Box.

I thought you were doing WN out of HOU?

icurhere2 Feb 8, 2010 6:09 am

WN is operating this flight at 44 of 137 - I pulled lie-flat coach 1A - 1C with boarding pass A30; sadly can't nap on a flight that's less than 1.5 hours
