Please make sure you are listed below if you would like to attend the CLE mini-do on 21 October 2006. If at all possible I would like to get the reservations in the next week or two, so please respond to this post ASAP and I will add you to the list. RESERVATIONS UPDATED 10/18/2006:

To avoid the mess of pre-selecting meals, I re-communicated our needs to the restaurant and they agreed it would be best if we switched back to a regular reservation. We now have a "Flyertalk" reservation at 5:00, though since it is Sweetest Day (who knew? ), the menu will be a bit limited.

Maybe

Put me down as a "maybe" ...I won't know 'till early October if my schedule will allow it.

Thanks MBM3 and kingalien for working on this. Is there an 'official' hotel for the location or are folks just aiming for something near CLE?

No official hotel, but the HGI is closest to the event location.

I am going to have to withdraw from the DO. I will be flying from CLE to CDG the previous Thursday, and I even scored upgrades both ways . Furthermore, to avoid EWR, I went through IAH so I get to fly up front on a 777 for the first time ^ . Sorry to miss the fun here however.

I got an operational upgrade to first class on my EWR-CDG this year. It too was my first time up front on a 777. Nice. Even nicer because it didn't cost me any money or miles. That awesome upgrade, in fact, is the only reason I am staying with CO after getting an abysmal 34% upgrade rate this year, that after being gold throughout most of the year and now platinum. Anyway, given the choice of being in CDG instead of CLE, I think we all would say oui!

Guys and Gals, I'm sorry...but theblakefish must bow out of his first CO DO or Mini-DO of 2006. I am moving back to Houston from Juarez...errr....El Paso the week before, and then I have to go to Dallas for about 4 days, then my first trip to Argentina the next week...so I'll need that weekend to get settled into my new abode.

Thanks for the invite, and I'll be sure to catch the next one.

What kind of lame @#$ wimped out fufu excuse is this?! "I'm moooooving.... I have to wooooork... I have respooooooonsibilities"

Bah! Hogwash! MBM3, please add theblakefish to the CLE MiniDo Wall of Shame

...and while you're at it, put cigar there too for his "I can't come - I'm going to be Tokyo" rhubarb.

Oh well, we'll miss you guys but I'm glad to hear your coming back to IAH theblakefish -- it I'll step up the allure of our MicroDo's (to say nothing of gross liquor consumption!)
