From what I understand, most of the available single game tix are upper deck. You can go to http://www.clevelandbrowns.com/tickets/seating.php and put in a section number to see the view you'd have.
Also, the Broncos' game is a 4pm ET kickoff (we've got 3 or 4 of those this year at home - I have no idea why.)
I can make a call or 2 and see if anyone I know might have a spare ticket somewhere closer/nicer. I can let you know in a week or so, probably after the Oakland game, if you want
If ya have any questions about the game/stadium/tix, just ask. I'm still not sure if I'll make the Mini-DO, since I am taking care of my mom and dad at home and my plans change often around here
Frank,
season Dawg Pound tix holder since pre-move

Yea, I saw the same tickets for sale...they have some on the 30-yard line, and even though their up high, that's still not too bad. Can't be worse than the visitors tickets that I got for a Chicago Bears-Houston Texans game at Soldier Field 2 years ago (and yes, the Texans won!). They were up high, in the corner....horrible.....plus it was 3 degrees at kickoff!
If you know of any options for one lonely ticket, that would be awesome! I'll wait until next week to finalize my plans if nothing else comes up.
Thanks for your offer!

Buy it on the street just before kickoff.
Do not pay more than face value.
The scalpers will be getting ready to put mustard on it and eat it for lunch.

Someone made the comment, perhaps PremEx, about going to Kahtmandu.
May have even been singing the Bob Seger song.
Catman has hosted many gatherings in NYC.
The gatherings began to be known as a Catman-Dos.
Hence, the term DO.
IMHO, this event is turning into more than a mini-Do (thanks to MBM3's tireless efforts). There's no official participant count to differentiate between a DO and a Mini-Do.
The annual cigarman-created event with CO in IAH certainly is full-blown DO.

See update on the first page of this thread. The fine folks at the restaurant thought I was throwing some sort of banquet, so I just set them straight and got the simple reservation that I initially requesting in writing.
I asked for individual checks and a view of the runways if at all possible.
The reservation is under "Flyertalk" and my name - PM me if you want it or my cell phone number.

For those of you coming in on Friday night, I might suggest that you cab up to one of the "happening" neighborhoods in downtown Cleveland. Two of the easiest to navigate (and for cabbies to located) are East 4th Street and the Warehouse District on West 6th and West 9th. Both of which have some great places to eat, though currently my favorite is East 4th Street as it has a great variety of places on the same block, including my favorite restaurant in Cleveland:

Another fun idea might be the Pub Room in the basement of the Great Lakes Brewing Company. GLBC has won many awards for their microbrews and they have a good menu as well for those who do not want to drink their dinner or simply arrive later in the evening.

There are a number of other places we could go, but I am trying to keep it to a location that is easy for everyone. For you Clevelanders, I really thought Tremont would be fun, but it can be hard to navigate and the establishments are towards the smaller size.
Any thoughts folks?

Any additional FTers interested in joining us for dinner on 21 October? I would like to finalize the reservation with actual numbers by this Monday.

Does it matter that I can eat for two?
BTW: my bid on ebay for the Browns ticket fell through ($100 for the Dog Pound?
Forget it). So can y'all tell me if it is easy to buy a ticket at the stadium, day-of? It will only be me, and I don't care where I sit, but I don't want to buy the ticketmaster-nazi inflated prices of $65/seat (which is what they are offering right now).
The game is at 4, and I'll probably be down there before noon. Thanks!

By the way, MBM3, Lola was my favorite restaurant in Cleveland, as well. Glad to see he's reopened it.

I'm still working on a seat for ya (most likely it'd be a dawg pound tix, face value - just leave the denver attire at home) but I don't think I'll have a definitive answer until next week.
