Okay - I'm there. Since I can't drive for a few more weeks, I'm having a non-FTer bring me - Mr. Baglady may join us after he gets off work. Be kind to my friend - she has no clue why people care about points and miles - maybe she'll get addicted after this.

Can't make this one....home basketball opener at A&M, and a mid-day football game the next day.
I'm down for anything in December, except the weekends of the 9th and the 23rd.

I hate being 3 weeks late for drinks....
Y'all still at the bar? Any chance for a post-Thanksgiving happy hour?

Am sounding the drum on short notice. Thursday, Dec. 28th - 4:30pm-6pm (or later). As you may learn from clicking on my Texas Bowl signature, this is the date of the Rutgers v. K-State bowl game in Reliant Stadium. As the Flying Saucer is convenient to the light-rail line that runs to the stadium (and easy to find for out-of-towners coming in for the bowl), I suggest it once more serve as a venue for a combination CO Micro-DO/Texas Bowl Pre-Game Drinks get-together.
I would suggest using this thread to keep track of CO Micro-DO attendees. Most (or all) of us attending the game will need to leave by around 6pm to make the game on time. CO Micro-DO folks are (of course) welcome to remain at the saucer to get soused, or even come to the bowl. Tickets can be had for $18+ on Stub-Hub. The $18 tickets aren't exactly choice...but it should be a great game.
Confirmed Attendees to the Flying Saucer for pre-game drinks so far include Myself, J.Edward, and a non-FT friend of mine (who's a plane nut, tho, and works for Lockheed Martin. I'm working to convert him from A.net to FT). Jeffie is a possible. I'll also be PMing the Texas Bowl attendees listed on the Community Forum thread in the next few days to see how many will attend pre-game drinks. Will be nice to have some out-of-towners in for an IAH Micro-DO. Look forward to seeing any and all others who are interested.

I'll update the thread title for you. Also, according to the FT TOS you should cross-post these events in Community.

Should or Should Not Cross-Post? The community forum thread began as a Texas Bowl Attendee get-together only...then I thought "why not blend this with one of the regular IAH Micro-DO's to get two groups together." The IAH folk are accustomed to this ongoing thread...most of the Rutgers attendees (oddly enough) aren't even CO board regulars.
My signature references here link to the Texas Bowl thread, but not vice-versa. Sorry if this is a TOS violation. This ad-hoc DO is all a bit improvisational, and I doubt there will be future occasion for such confusion, cross-posting issues, as it's usually all announced here. Or is that what you were getting at...that each time we have an IAH Micro-DO (regardless of whether another, related event, has been posted in Community), that there should be an announcement in community. Sorry, am just slightly
Edit - Oh yes, and thank you for the thread title change. Much appreciated. Once again, sorry for being a total numpty today...brain has turned to mush after sampling the finer points of tort reform legislative history today.

Count Me In!
I've had to miss the last two Micro-Dos due to being out of town, but I'll be around on the 28th enjoying a well-deserved week off from work.

Even though I have been looking forward to one of these mirco-DO's, I can't attend this one as I will be in San Diego watching my Fightin' Texas Aggies beat the h-e-double-match-sticks outta Cal in the Holiday Bowl.
