Gee, Ryan, did you ever happen to think that your actions could be the cause of some of the things that 'happen' to you??? If this were a one-off I'd be inclined to doubt the captain but knowing your history... sorry, I'm inclined to believe the captain did exactly the right thing.

I believe according to the Warsaw Convention, a Captain can do anything in his power to keep a passenger from challenging his authority; up to and including, having you shot dead.

Ryan I know you meant no harm, but CO staff looks for anything to ruffle feathers, they love to see how far one would go to prove a point. Sounds like you had the smile and they had the last laugh. CO is losing customers left and right, how they treated HP is no wondered why HP dumped them when they did.

If you want, dispute the charge on the CC, If anything it will delay payment to CO for 90 days! Maybe by then they will have gone BK and you wont have to worry about paying them

To those of you that think this crew was getting off on some kind of a power trip, are you kidding? Have you experienced a drunk, out of control passenger in very tight quarters such as that of a narrow body airplane? Do you think that the crew should have let this person fly and assume that he won't get out of control at 33,000 feet? Believe me when I say, it's alot more of an inconvenience to alot more people when the Pilots have to land at an unscheduled city to dump off an out of control passenger. I'm not implying that Ryan was out of control but if he was already lipping off to the crew then who knows what was far behind. This crew doesn't know him from Adam, they just know that he appeared to be intoxicated and was getting mouthy before the door was even closed, which is the best time to eliminate the possibility of trouble. It's true that maybe (or maybe not - look who's side of the story you are believing without second thought...) this crew was short but most people would roll their eyes and walk away. It would take a few more unpleasant episodes before they would be inclined to start being vocal about their displeasure. I think this crew avoided potential problems that could have affected everybody else aboard by having this passenger removed early on.

I think the best you can do is not fly anymore. Between this and your Hilton post, it doesn't seem like you can handle the complexities of normal, everyday life. This is more your issue than Continental's.

I was on an Aerlingus flight where a man had taken a lethal dose of alcohol and tranqualizer. This turned him into a manic Incredible Hulk type figure. He was moved with the rest of his ten person party to sit right behind me and my 3 year old and 6 month old nephews. His party had to restrain him. He was screaming, kicking the seats and threatening to defecate in the seat if they did't let him go. We were in the middle of the Atlantic at that point. I would have applauded if they could have shoved him into a bathroom and barred the door for the remainder of the flight, but I guess that wasn't possible. My point being if they had any warning that something like this could happen pre-flight, they better kick that person off the plane. That is my 2 cents.

Why pay money for that which you can have for free?

This is interesting! The yahoo profile lists ryan754sin as 19 years old. The legal drinking age is 21. Something doesn't smell right here.

I just went to that Hilton thread. I remember that discussion -- because, if I recall this guy has had LOTS of other problems before and that one was referred to in another one last fall that I can't recall/find. Frankly, there are *so* many of these involving him that it's really remarkable.

Can someone post a link to that Hilton article? I searched and couldn't find it. Wasn't this also the guy who got beat up in Rio for not paying a bar tab? I think that episode was on the UA board.

It's all comic relief though, I enjoy the stories.

P.S. Ryan, what's your deal? Are you a young business traveler, student traveler? Inquiring minds want to know

Thank you, thank you!! I don't think I've laughed since Wed., I was almost to tears reading that Hilton thread!!

Ryan, did you attend the University of Alabama? If so, did you do interviews with the Princeton Review for their yearly 'top party schools'?
