Why would CONTINENTAL give mileage bonuses to a NORTHWEST account?

Kind of implicit, eh?

Are there any bonuses that remain for future flights in the US? I tried to register for 41002 and for 42001 and the web site said that they both have expired.

That's NOT what I asked--I realize that one would not get a booking bonus IN an account associated w/ a carrier via whom one did not purchase the ticket.

What I asked was whether the booking bonus would be applied to a ONEPASS account, should I purchase the ticket through CO, BUT choose to get the flight miles credited to a Northwest WorldPerks account.

Given that the ticket would be booked w/ CO, & the $ paid to CO, I wasn't sure whether the booking bonus had any specific fine print associated w/ it that would preclude its being credited should one happen to not also get the flight miles credited to a OnePass account.

With Northwest, it's my understanding that the standard first-time online booking bonus is only available to those who also receive WorldPerks miles for the flight, & thus if one chose to have the miles for said flight credited to a OnePass account, one could not receive the 4,000 mile booking bonus (regardless of the ticket having been purchased through NW).

I haven't seen whatever fine print is associated w/ the CO booking bonus, & thus I asked the question I did.

You're right, that's not what you asked. But the answer is still definitely not.

I believe the GGONE bonuses require you fly on CO metal as these are "sponsored" by CO. The AMEX bonuses are under a totally different set of rules since they are "sponsored" and paid for by AMEX.

In all honesty I have never seen the T&C or whatever for any of them. Because of this (and because I gotta a lot of really nice extra miles) I never questioned any single individual CO bonus posting or lack of bonus posting.

My guess would be to give your CO account number, when booking. Then at a later date change to the NW account number for the miles.

I'm not sure what happened between very unlikely & definitely not, but I would tend to agree that the bonus likely wouldn't be given (even if I fly on CO metal, which I would/will be). If my experience is to the contrary re: the bonus posting, I'll consider myself lucky.

I don't come to these parts very often ...

I got a postcard from CO that I'm already registered for double miles on CO and Midway, seems to be a promotion for welcoming Midway (even though I live two plus hours RDU ... a little closer to CAE though not much).

Card has my FF# on it and says the number is already registered (I don't have to do anything) and it is non-transferable.

Number in the bottom right hand corner is GG ONE TB0040 ... and I don't know if it's just a coincidence, but those are my initials (TB) ...

Hey everybody, I was on the phone with a OPSC agent two days ago and after we were done with what we were talking about I coyly asked her if CO was currently offering any promotions on Midway. She said yes, a double mile offer from (similar to above, I guess) for flights 7/1 - 8/31. She registered me for the promo while we were talking. Before I got off, I asked her what the code was - unbelievably she gave it to me - it's GG ONE TB0M89.

Vulcan - Please add to list!

Happy flying!

Thanks very much for the above, I was just able to register both myself and my BF for this and he will be making a RT from CZM-LGA this week so it is great. Do you know what routes this is good for? I tried to find out but I didn't want to let them know that I don't have the flyer, so I just asked if it was good for the specific route above. She asked for my account number (?!) and checked the promotion and it says "double miles for any segment flown on MIDWAY AIRLINES" (the post above said "Miway" I should have assumed it meant midway but I thought it was just a typo)

Sorry about that, yes, I definately meant Midway.

You bring up a good point regarding this bonus... unlike most CO bonuses you must fly Midway metal to get the bonus.

One ? for you CozumelJen... I don't think that does Midway flies to CZM. So unless he's flying via RDU, I don't see how he can take advantage of the bonus.

After calling OnePass to register for the Midway promotion, they told me the promotion was targeted for people that lived in the RDU area and that the miles probably won't post.... Weird!

Well, hopefully they do for us

I thought the Midway promo was posted on their website, for all to see and register for.

I had seen it a month or two back...

I haven't been seeing the 2500 bonus lately, but I know I signed up for it because I did receive it once last month (RA2M01). Anyone else seeing it sporadically?
