CozumelJen: I justed called OPSC and was not able to sign up for this promotion - no surprise there. The agent didn't put me on hold but did chuckle a little when she pulled up my record to review my file (too many mileage runs in April/May I guess). She said I was already registered for a similar promotion and that this one was definitely targeted for new(er) members. I've been a member since 1987 so I guess I'm not in the targeted marketing group.
I had better luck buying a Prestige Pack yesterday.
I hope you get this bonus.
kishna: Sorry, no numeric code.

It appears that the GGAMEX PTL is targeted as well. I was told by a haughty agent that I could only get this if I got the code from a mailing and NOT from some friend.
Anyone had this experience? I don't see the point...they're trying to generate loyalty between AMEX users and CO...what gives?

Help
I've seen several different codes listed for the new member one pass bonus. My son will be taking his first Continental flight next week. Should he just call One Pass and tell them he is a new member or is there a code he must give them?

Mitts, try again on the Amex platinum bonus. I was able to sign up with no problem. I gave the agent the code and vaguely referenced a mailing that "I" had received. She didn't pry further and also confirmed the offer is good through 6/30/01.

A suggestion. Incorporate the Direct Promo Registration Link that Aisles Only provided into the Bonus Thread Update. You could place it directly under the OnePass 800 #. That way, people will have 2 ways to easily register for the promos!

I don't think that this has been reported before -
At least for some of the bonuses (CHWR in my case), you will receive the bonus on NW tickets flown on CO metal.

What about CO tickets codeshared on NW metal? Is that still only any CO portion?

aislesonly,
Yes I mean codeshares for the CO metal portion. Specifically I flew on a NW ticket (with NW flight numbers) MCI-IAH-DEN-IAH-MCI (both segments CO metal obviously) and have received to date:
5/19/01 Non-Travel DOUBLE MILE BONUS 657 657
5/19/01 Non-Travel DOUBLE MILE BONUS 876 876
5/19/01 Air CONTINENTAL 0587 XF IAH DEN 876
PLATINUM ELITE BONUS 1095 1971
5/19/01 Air CONTINENTAL 0605 XF MCI IAH 657
PLATINUM ELITE BONUS 821 1478
The return has not posted yet. I cannot speak to the issue of CO tickets on NW metal, but I suspect the answer is that you won't receive the bonuses. Others have stated this in the past, but I'm not sure if it was based on actual flights or only speculation.

Here is the direct page for promo registration!
http://onepass.continental.com/asp_u...e=promoreg.htm
It works with 5 digit codes similar to the boxes on the side of the special offer and news page on the OnePass site, but is dedicated to promo registration.

Anyone bothered by the sinister message (below) which appears on CO's website when registering promotion codes? Hype or reality?
___From CO website registration page_________
This promotional offer is intended only for the person that received the applicable offer directly from Continental through mail or e-mail. Offers are non-transferable and registration may be denied if unauthorized persons register.

, if not, don't cry
. It says that registration may be denied, but I guess I missed the part about flogging or the exploding Elite Card.
