Does anyone know if CO will count flying IAH-LAX and then returning home SFO-IAH as a roundtrip for this bonus? I know when booking flights this technically is a multi-city itinerary, but it is returning to the same airport that I originated at. I signed up for this bonus last month and have flown this routing several weeks ago and still haven't gotten the bonus.

Just tried to register someone else for the above; the website said the offer had expired. Called OP; they asked for her # AND my # (told them I had tried to register her). I was told that the promo was for accounts which had been inactive for 6-12 months; since hers had just been opened, no promo for her!

VULCAN: You are amazing. Thanks for your advice. Using the dates from your 2-12-2001 posting for GGONE BHML I called CO to register for a EWR-HKG-EWR flight on 6/08/01. They said it had expired on 5/31/01. You mentioned same 6/30/2001 date above. Could you please supply source so I can quote it to them. They won't accept my reference to WEBFLYER.COM site. Appreciate your D&E suggestion as a trade-off for the window on CO BF 777. Am booked asgain this month but on aisle in E line. Are you aware of any GG ONE BONUSES available for EWR-HKG this month? Appreciate.

With all the bonuses that we've racked up, I dont think Continental will ever have any again!

Oh well, I keep praying Vulcan will post, and we will see some in the fall!

If a OPSC rep said that the BHML promo expired on 5/31/01, then Vulcan's list is probably in error, not OPSC. OPSC has the final word. Keep in mind that the information in Vulcan's list was gleaned second-hand from the reports of Flyertalkers who got postcards from OnePass in the mail. Telling OPSC that you got the code from Webflyer.Com, or any Internet site, carrys no weight with them. In fact, by telling them that you got the code from here could actually be damaging since OnePass/Continental never intended for you to use the code unless you got a postcard in the mail. So please be more cautious -- don't say you got it from Flyertalk.

Even if the promotion expired on 6/30/01, I think it would be too late. From what I've read here, it appears that you cannot sign up for a promotion (and thus get retroactive credit for your 6/8/01 flight) after the promo's expiration date.

It's a good guess that we'll never see anything like this again.

The Continental Onepass SS has captured Vulcan. He is being held in a secret location until every bonus he posted expired...

Maybe he's on hiatus, since there apparently are no new bonus offers. That would be my theory...

Well, I keep hoping new stuff will show up...alas. Got in one last big-time mileage builder just before the 6/30-expiring specials expired. The 2,500 "reactivation bonus" is working, as is the GGAMEX BLM1 (now expired, I think). Also the just-expired GGONE CHWR and am also getting a 2,000-per-trip Amex bonus of some sort. Haven't seen any posts yet for the 2,000 for the direct bookings (just the normal 1,000 Continental.com bonus).

What do you mean by the 2,000 mile bonus for direct bookings?

As for e-ticket bookings via the phone, I can advise you that if you had not gotten an e-mail that said that it has been discontinued for you, then it is still alive and kickin, as we have received it.

I received the bonus on the outbound legs of my latest trip but not for the return.

They're running a bonus right now for 2,000 bonus miles if you book directly through Continental as opposed to a travel agent or site such as Expedia. The offer is valid whether you book on Continental.com, by phone, or at a CTO. I received a postcard in the mail about it today, as did two of my coworkers. The card says the offer is valid on roundtrips only between June 15 and December 31, 2001, on Continental, Continental Express, Continental Micronesia and Continental-ticketed flights on Air France and Virgin Atlantic. Apparently it's an automatic bonus that you don't have to sign up for if you were mailed one of the cards.
