Quite right you are.

This final year of filing single was easy to the point that I should run and not walk to the bank. Though I've been assured that the transition to filing married is a relatively easy one, I know that Copa Connection has far more tax-based paperwork than I do (home office, she gets the rent deduction, etc.) and it'll therefore just be a longer slog. At least the income differential will cause a nice refund...

I had blocked off time tonight to finish because BoA had a broadcast that most 1099's would be available today. I want my ~$2,000 from the feds ...

IRS estimates I will have mine by the 15th. That has historically been pretty accurate, so at least now I can allocate it against where it will end up going. ^

The 7:30am on Saturday isn't available?

I'd show up at the airport on Saturday morning just in case someone you know isn't on the flight.

For those of you in the Box who are medical doctors or have SOs or friends that are, this info just came in from my accountant:

To Our Clients,
Please read the below explanation. Basically, you, your friend or child may be entitled to a substantial refund. For example, a resident who received eligible compensation of $40,000 during 1995 may be eligible for a refund of $3,060 in FICA taxes plus interest of approximately $2,660 for a total refund of more than $5,700 for calendar year 2005 alone.

IRS to Honor Medical Resident FICA Refund Claims

You may be in line for some nice refund $$$

And I wasn't even a real elite before.

Yeah, he shared the wealth. I made some minor adjustments that required an extra cheap run from me but I've already booked it and it wound up being cost neutral including upgrade copays. ^

Either way, I'll still fly on UA. There are other things that are much more important..

KOA is a neat airport.

My top 7 burgers in Houston right now are:
1) Hubcap Grill (restaurant not truck)
2) Petrol Station (Rancor Burger)
3) Beavers (I prefer their burger to their BBQ)
4) Christian's Totem (The Christian's off of I10 and Washington)
5) The Burger Guys (I like certain things here and really dislike others)
6) Smashburger (a chain, but pretty darn good)
7) Sparkle Burger

An honorable mention: Someburger in the Heights. Definitely not the greatest burger in the world, but quick, tasty, and somewhat of a classic.
Is Lucky Burger by ALCO any good?
