No kidding.

And now he's claiming that the Clear Pass program died because Continental tried to kill it in order to prop up its own elite program. WTH?

The bag fee thing really irritates me because 90% of the time I hear complaints about it from people who will only buy tickets based on price, and they expect airline prices to constantly drop. They just don't get the fact that the average cost of a ticket today is less than it was just five years ago, and that, on average, they aren't paying the same price for fewer services. They're paying a lower price, sometimes much lower, when inflation is taken into account. This guy has his own business. I seriously doubt he'd be willing to give one of his customers the same level of service today that he did in 2004 for a price that's lets than what he was charging in 2000. Yet that's what people seem to expect out of airlines and other businesses, and then they b!+ch and moan about it when they get charged add-on fees.

And really, in the end, the security thing comes back to a couple of basic facts. The TSA is using unproven technology, which has not been adequately evaluated for safety, to conduct invasive searches without just cause. I don't understand why some people can't understand that.

CLEAR died because it was a scam. We need a REAL trusted traveler program, not more scams.

Agreed. But apparently this guy is convinced otherwise.

I find it quite funny he's complaining about bag fees but was willing to drop a bunch of money on that scam in order to save a few minutes waiting in line at a small number of airports.

officially shutting down, power off...laptops in downright position...under my US Envoy Blanket.

US fliers don't drink COol Aid, unlike many of the loyal CO folks. They also don't get e-certs for complaining like us UA fliers do, so they need their own unique way of ranting about their airline.

1K's wouldn't go to this extent since UA would bribe them with bigger ecerts or some SWU's and CO fliers...would drink more COol-Aid

Yep, I'll agree with you there . We may b!+ch about some stupid things, but the e-certs make you forget about that and keep flying UA.

Looking at everyone who is going to bed, I'm reminded that I'm wide awake because it's 4:52 pm here in Seoul and that full flat seats really do help alleviate jet lag.

Good morning. Back at work on this 1A-9A shift... again. After getting out of here yesterday, I could not fall asleep @ home till noon. Slept till 3pm. So, in the past 24 hours, I've slept about 5 hours. I guess daylight, even w/ a dark room just made me wake up.

And to our Vets in the 'Box, I salute you and what you've done for this country. :-:
