It sure does. Unfortunately, I don't know how much it has caught on yet - I've used it at several major USA hubs over the last couple months and haven't really seen any activity (though maybe I'm just in the wrong place at the wrong time!)

I think I read somewhere that it gets most of its traffic at this point outside the US...it's a great idea, so we should spread the word!

Yes indeed, we should spread the word. Before I found it today I send a note to Randy (also today) if it wouldn't be of a benefit to FT to link it with FT if this is possible. I had something like the #boarding in my mind. There is a thread at the M&M forum called M&M lounge meeting (or similar). Twitter could make this kind of threads more spontaneous if more people start using it.

CO, UA, and I believe many of the other airline-specific fora have lounge meetup threads as well. People are very generous with their guest opportunities - I haven't been able to take advantage of any yet, but hopefully someday the schedules will align!

Twitter could be a great tool for airport meetups because not only is it spontaneous, but it isn't necessarily limited to lounges - those of us without lounge access might still enjoy having some company at the bar or something like that.
