It's a little better today, but I'm still not able to update every time I try. (using FireFox)

Trying, unsuccessfully, to send this: @UnitedAirlines via @FlyerTalk @BenStrand: @jeremypiven Need help twitter fam! Left flip camera on United fight last night JFK-LAX. #help

Anyone want to copy & paste on my behalf?

A "retweet" and "via" is the same thing. I wrote two blogs about Twitter if you are interested in reading them. It should explain a bit more about how it works. One word of warning, my website needs major updating but hopefully the 2 blog articles will explain a bit more about it:

I use "RT" if I am repeating someone's Tweet word-for-word. If I have to chop it up due to character limits, I use "via". YMMV.

thanks to both of you :) it's now a lot more clear

Your definition is spot on. :)

I use RT for repeating a tweet even if edited a bit, and via for either a RT of a RT of someone I don't follow (to acknowledge how I found out about it) or if doing a new tweet but using someone else's link/source. Either way it is not original content from me.

I've just started tweeting using http://twitter.com/wanderngaramean.

I'm not entirely sure what will come of it, but I'll definitely be using next month with the jetBlue all-you-can-jet deal as I bound around their route network.
