I finally signed up out of curiosity. In a matter of a couple hours, I've gotten porn twit-spam. And I can't get an icon pic to load. :confused:

Just signed up for twitter and not familiar with all of the intricacies but what do the 3 "twits" (sorry if wrong usage:D) above offer?

I mainly use twitter to follow other travel posters, and occasionally (*very* occasionally) post when I come across something of interest to travelers. The travelzoo tweets have been pretty useful to me.

Side note: I was checking out the others on the thread, and it appears that FT.boxo =/= twitter.boxo!

I guess I use twitter more just to follow people rather than sharing 140-character thoughts with them. Maybe I should give it a try though. :)

Do you use safari? I use the app Twitterrrific.

Ooooh. I haven't gotten any spam, but you have to get permission to follow me. As a result, not many people are bothering to follow me but they're not missing anything. Facebook works for me, so far Twitter doesn't. 1WHRLD at Twitter but unless I can figure out your FT name, permission to follow might not be forthcoming.

After a second attempt/failure at uploading a profile pic, I decided that it couldn't possibly be my fault, so I clicked "Help". Turns out there is a "known issue" and they're working on it... but try another browser.

If anyone adds me through a degree or two of separation, let me know by PM, so I don't mistake you for TWAM and hit delete or break... de-follow, un-follow or whatever the lingo is. :D

Hashtags are way of marking tweets for easy search. You can use the twitter search tool (& some other apps) to view all recent tweets that contain the hashtag.

If anyone wants me to follow on twitter I'll need to know your twitter handle. PM me or @globtrav me if you don't want to post it.
