BB,

Can I get an invite to the party? I'm just 10 minutes away.
Otherwise, I'm available Tuesday. Maybe we can do lunch at a typical NY type of a place.
And I know plenty of 'em y'all.

The evening of Monday the 9th works for me. I mostly lurk in the SPG forum, but happy to buy anybody as helpful as Starwood Lurker a drink.

And we too will be around NY on the 9th and the 10th with no plans yet for those days, nor for Thursday. Anything that Starwood Lurker wants to do is OK with us but if he needs ideas, we can certainly come up with a few good ones for lunch or dinner.

Regrettably, I'm not going to be able to get anyone into the aloft Premiere. The only way to get into this event is to first be invited to log in online to RSVP and then be one of the lucky 75 couples to be first come, first served.

Otherwise, I'm available Tuesday. Maybe we can do lunch at a typical NY type of a place.

Lunch on Tuesday sounds good. I am more than happy to let the locals choose the time and place.

Monday evening drinks sound nice after a day at the ball park. Is there a pub with a good selection of beer and/or single-malt Scotch that everyone likes?

Looks like we have the beginnings of a plan coming together...drinks Monday evening...lunch on Tuesday. That leaves Tuesday evening open. Wednesday and Thursday will be spent at HQ in White Plains, however.

Lurker - Was there anything else you wanted to do/see in NYC? Are you an art guy, broadway guy, central park guy, off track betting guy????

I think dhammer53 wants to meet at Veselka's for a Friday brunch/lunch on June 13th instead of meeting for lunch on Tuesday, so if anyone can join us, please do. He mentioned a 12 Noon to 2 PM time frame. My flight leaves JFK at 5:29 PM on Friday afternoon, so I will have time for this one as well.

So, Monday evening drinks looks to be garnering some interest, but no one has yet mentioned a location. All day Tuesday is still wide open and I'm open to suggestions. If nothing pans out, I will probably just go be a tourist for a day.

In the meantime, I'll update the first post with Friday's brunch/lunch.

So close ...

I take it you are flying up over the weekend?

I will be at Bergstrom on Monday morning.

LOL. I don't know, really. I think I'd like to get by and see Ground Zero. I like art, if it isn't modern art. Taking in a show would be okay, but I'm not sure what's showing. And, I've always been told to stay out of Central Park, especially after dark.

I will probably decide on a few things outside being able to meet up. I just want to get that worked out as well as possible ahead of time so I know how much personal time I'll have. Then I can decide what I can get in as a tourist.

Leaving on Sunday afternoon at 2:15 PM, actually. But, I got the last available seat on this flight, so you never know. If they make it worth my while, I might be coaxed into leaving later in the day or even very, very early Monday morning instead.

Starwood Lurker, if you don't mind the Times Square area, might I suggest the following location(just a block above the huge Sheraton on 7th):
http://www.facesandnames.com/about/index.html

Dan might remember this place as the bar we were in years ago, when we missed out on the $20 BA deal.
The reason I mention it, is that I already have plans to meet up with ElmhurstNick there for a quick drink. Would love to see you again, as well.
