I think Seat 2A is out on one of his grand excursions, but I'll dispatch a PM in a bit.

Is Major G an ANCite? (Edit: I see he's in and out, depending on work.)

A few other names to add to the Potential ANCites list:

SouthAnch
REC1111
ChugiakAk
HDK
ctporter
(mentioned a 7:30am flight...could be AS120 ANC-SEA!)

Still think there's that one more ANCite I saw in the AS or AK (state, not Asian LCC ) forums...will keep looking...

Oh, and this DO is not limited to just ANCites--anyone who can make it in is more than welcome! ^

Edit: Still adding to the list (I should save this for my own reference!):

akdude
...

I'm trying my best to stay an ANCite, but work keeps getting in the damn way!

I'm in town 18-29 DEC and could go see Up in the Air even though I saw it at a mini-DO in SF on the 5th. I thought it was good enough to see twice. One of the guys at the DO was already seeing it for the second time on the 5th. Lucky guy got tickets to the NY premier and burn miles to make it there on a P.S. flight.

After that, my next trip is 16-21 FEB.

I'll fly in ANC at 8:55am from SEA on Dec 17th! Then will fly back home on Jan 5th.

I will be flying in with my friend who is from Alaska and lives in Anchorage. I do not know what our plans are yet, so will keep you posted!

Ugh! golfingboy, can't you arrive on the red-eye like everybody else?!

I'd normally be up for an airport meet-up in the BR, but that is right in the middle of my slumber-time. If I came out for that, I'd end up getting about 4 hours of sleep that day...

Solution:

Sleep in the airport!

Or go to sleep extra early... from 3-8 AM

I think another FT'er is arriving in ANC that day too... but much later on AS873... perhaps I could spend the whole day there?

Question for the ANC crowd. If beckoa spends the entire day in the BR, how many times will they need to refill the soup?

I guess that I'd prefer the day after Christmas, but I think maybe I can make the 25th work.

Both days work for me, as long as we're done by about 3:30pm on the 26th. The allure of seeing it on opening day is tarnished a bit not only by the fact that it'll have been out for three weeks but that two of my viewing companions have already seen it , so if the 26th works better for all involved, I wouldn't be opposed to that.

AS have SEA-ANC red-eye? The earliest flight their timetable is showing is 6:00am and that is the flight we are on.

Technically, I would call AS81 a red-eye flight, because we will take off from SEA while it is still dark and touch down in ANC moments before the sun rises.

I have experienced short night times in Sweden several times, but never experienced short day time, so it is going to be an interesting experience for me

would be nice, but I am not sure of our plans when we arrive... I can ask my friend tomorrow when we meet at the airport before we fly out what our plans are.

FYI, never been in the BR myself
