I'll try to get there a little early and meet you in the bar area. I didn't reserve a table because I didn't really think it would be necessary for 4 or 5 people on a Wednesday night.

Sorry no can do. Part of the reason I'm slammed at work is that I want to be on an airplane tomorrow ... Enjoy and I'll catch you next time you're through.

Doesn't look like I'm going to make it tonight. An unexpected motion to which I must file a response landed on my desk about 30 minutes ago and I doubt that I'll be able to get out of the office anywhere close to on time.

As GoingAway said, maybe next time chrissxb is in DC, schedules will be more cooperative.

Given that I have to cross water to get there...

I am going to try and leave work to reach there on time... might be a bit delayed

Had a very nice dinner with tazi, Pranu, and chrissxb. Happy travels to all of you!

The 94th Aerosquadron Restaurant has a great atmosphere for a relaxing dinner with good friends - but especially for folks who love air travel.

Since I missed out on last month's event in College Park, I've been feeling some DC HH withdrawal pains.

The way to fix that of course, is to schedule another event.

My calendar for the next couple of months is pretty full, but I've located a gaping hole the last weekend of this month. Anyone interested in HH and/or dinner on April 27th, perhaps? I'm geographically flexible, so if someone has a place they'd like to try out or return to, I'm definitely willing to travel (even without EQMs!)

Weather should be pretty good by then - fingers crossed - wonder where we could do something outdoors... Cantina Marina perhaps?

http://www.cantinamarina.com/

Its early enough that we might be able to get reservations for a group outside on the patio - nice views of Haines Point, planes taking off/landing at DCA.

I have not been there personally - so have no idea what the food/service might be like. But was just thinking of something outdoors.

Al fresco dining sounds like a great idea! It looks like there's a Nationals home game at 1:35 pm that day, but National's Park is probably far enough away from the SW waterfront that we shouldn't have much competition for seats (or parking). If we reach critical mass, reservations might be advisable.

Rats. And I was so hoping to hear about your latest trip Down Under and to the land of Hobbits!

With any luck, when the time comes, we'll find a date in May that can accomodate everyone's schedule. (If that works out, remind me to play the lottery that day. )

Sounds like a nice idea. I will be traveling both the 27th and the 16th of April and cannot make either of the proposed HH dates. Second or third week of May might work for me.
