We should get together if for no other reason than to celebrate a pause in what sounds like a brutal travel schedule! I'm available the 10th, 11th, and 12th (I fly to BKK and then REP on the 13th), and would be up for happy hour or dinner.
Btw, as no one else has requested the atlas, I'm not in any great rush to reclaim it, and figured I'd just wait until one of our regularly scheduled events.

REP is great - I'm sure you already have arrangements, but l'etoile suggested Bopha Angkor hotel for me when I was there & it was a nice hotel at a great price. I had a great time - make sure you bring clean & crisp US dollars. I took about $750 in mostly small bills with me & that was sufficient for 5 days in Cambodia (with the purchase of an airline ticket as well & the hotel on my credit card).

I'll be at the Freddies - got multiple reasons for going this year.
I may have to cancel as I don't know my schedule, but I booked an award ticket (using 25K UA miles from an account that only had 26K in it) & got a hotel 1/2 mile from the Wyndham (which is running a $200+ rate - yikes - talk about not trying to generate trial & loyalty from FT'ers!)As for flying UA - I do hate them & they make life for me difficult though I'm not sure why. But they're a preferred provider for work & they're good for east coast short hauls, sitting in coach on a tiny RJ out of IAD - I've already flown over 15k eqms on them this year, in fact - had my luggage lost only twice with them (and once with DL - and January isn't even over yet). PremEx status is also nice when you're flying other *A partners, but now I'm seriously contemplating making the switch to BD as *Gold is easily attained with them.
My ticket is an award ticket on a nonstop in both directions from a now almost empty family member's account whose miles were expiring this year anyways, so I only paid UA $5.00 in fees for this. I'm still sitting on 2 x $25 certs, a $150, and now a $350 & an eSWU (from the NZ trip - although more may be coming as this was all done between the time I sent them a letter & them probably recieving & processing it - the 350 was off a SkyKit & the SWU was from a CSM at SFO - which, if they read & take action on, will probably result in more - I don't want cash vouchers - that means I have to pay the difference out of my own pocket & I don't want to give UA any of my personal money - company money I'm okay with - my money, I'm not - I'd be satisfied if they apologized & gave me my 30K UG miles back).

After our DC-area dinners at I Ricchi and Tivoli, I dined on excellent chili crab and more at No Sign Board Seafood in Singapore with violist and headinclouds. Maybe they'll both be able to attend something a bit less far away in February.

Pranu, have an article about the SIN Formula 1 race that may interest you.

Sid - Looking forward to hearing all about your trip and experience. And you have definitely got me curious about the article you have.

Anyone around for Wed 6-Feb? Woody125 from ATL is passing thru DC and he has lots of Russian info for my trip next July. He is staying at Fairfax Marriott at Fair Oaks , so I'll get my passport to make a trip across the Potomac.

What about the evening of the 10th? Would that give you time to return from the big hills that pass for mountains on the east coast, bhatnasx?

I'd prefer something in DC or NoVA.

Feb 10th or 11th works for me - 12th just got booked up. As for the 6th, I'm actually flying to MSP that evening, so I can't do anything then.

Are you really flying UA again? I thought they were off your list.
