Hey BEY
Hi,
I noticed there was not a listing in the FT calendar, so I added the link to this thread, for 26 October:
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/calen...day=2006-10-26
(PM me if you'd prefer it me removed).
Looking forward to seeing you there

I can't believe what is happening here. BEYFlyer is one of the most interesting people we have on F/T.
Okay, time to get some Sheilas attending this Meet:
BEYFlyer is in his 30's, not married, can afford to fly FC wherever he goes, and his picture can be seen here.
Oz men, once the ladies take a look at his picture, they will be showing up en masse. BEYFlyer himself can only handle one of them (he is not, after all, me) so there will be many of them left drowning their sorrows at the bar.
If that is not enough reason to get you to attend, I don't know what is.

As you can see f0zzyNUE, it is going to be a small gathering of FTers, so it would be great to have you with us. I'll finalize "the plan" next week with the help of BiziBB. Stay tuned...

I hope you have a pleasant visit to SYD BEYFlyer. You certainly gave an amazing perspective to us all in recent months as conflict again beset the Middle East.
I would love to show you a little of my town on another visit. Please accept my apologies for my absence on this visit. My diary tells me I shall be in MIA that day.
See if someone can take you to Milson's Point Cityrail station, and then walk back over the Harbour Bridge and into the Rocks/Circular Quay. It gives a nice Harbour orientation early in your visit. Kind Regards. John.

As someone who lives here, I can advise there are not large numbers of local FT members who attend any event.
Well, not in the past 6 or 7 years they haven't anyway.

Half a dozen is a FT crowd here.

Thank you for your patience and sorry for the delay. I was just sorting out some details with BiziBB.
The plan right now is to head over to Cafe Sydney around 6:45 p.m. for drinks. Then, keeping with Middle Eastern traditions, I would like to invite you to dinner at CS around 7:30/7:45 p.m. You are more than welcome to join us for drinks and/or dinner; up to you really just let me know so I can give them a solid number.
I just sent in a reservation request for a table (8 people given the response so far) but given the time difference, I doubt I'll hear anything today. As soon as I get a confirmation for them, I'll let you know.
I'm heading to Singapore tonight (in about 11 hours, 11 minutes
). Looking forward to meeting up with friends there and having some time off away from "all of this". Also looking forward to meeting up with all of you on the 26th ^ ; I should be in Sydney on the evening of the 25th.
Will be in touch later...
