I'm in at Dubliner or VA, close to a metro stop. Metro's web site states that regular Sun service is operating, though buses are only on major roads. An inspection of Dupont area shows snow emergency roads clear, major roads plowed and almost as good as the snow routes, many secondary streets not plowed but very passable. Average amounts in my area were 5-7".

Well - I don't think a change of venue is a good idea - since we aren't sure if everyone is going to be checking the board before the evening. As much as I would prefer VA - we should stick to the Dubliner. I am still very much in.
And who knows if Mr. RP wants to try and surprise us again after the last unsuccessful attempt

I'm still in!! I was going to say that it just means allowing extra time today to get thru the roads....I'll just think of it as the same amount of time if I were coming down to DC on a weekeday
. I don't know what anyone coming except for GA looks like, so I'll try to remember to carry my FT tag (to accompany the "Yes, I'm looking for someone" look on my face)
A hearty bowl of Irish pub grub and pint of Guiness would def. hit the spot on a day like today!

Looks like GA is going have to slog her way into DC. I'll have my backpack with FT luggage tag as well. See one and all about 6PM. Oh, I did call the Dubliner and they are open for business all day...

... and anyone else that is around and wants to join us!
Tazi - sure hope you get those errands taken care of. I saw a plow go up & down my street so the main roads are definitely clear (at least in VA
)

Hi, all. I don't know a single one of you, but I've been lurking/light participatin' @ Flytertalk for a few years now, and thought I'd take this chance to come say hello. If you see a lost looking fellow wandering around, welcome me over to your table!

Really enjoyed meeting everyone tonight!
Looking forward to the "next" gathering.
PS...we were talking about AA's Lincoln Zephyr promo, where you just fill out a couple of on-line blanks and get 250 miles. And/or, print out a form, bring it to a Lincoln dealer & test drive the car and get another 2,500 miles. Just caught the fine print on it, thanks to another FTers: You don't have to test drive the car here in Maryland.

It was, indeed, good to meet everyone. For any lurkers, this is a welcoming group! C'mon out next time.
(And skye1, totally go to India in April.)

You already have the promised PM. And, thanks to a snow day tomorrow, I've got time to mindlessly surf the internet & start planning that trip!
