Does FTG even take reservations? We're likely to get those high tables to the right of the door against the wall again - it was the only area, I think where they could put any decent sized group together.

Here is what happened. I called them... Ring Ring Them: FTG, Ballston, Can I help you? Me: Do you take reservations? Them: Yes we do. Me: Can I please make a reservation Them: Sure. Me: I need a ta... Them: CLICK! I sure am hoping that it was a mistake - but either way figured I would try later after I have a firmer count. So didnt try calling back again. |

I'm very disappointed, but it looks like I might need to be downgraded for the 11/10 dinner. I'll be returning from TPA that night. I'll look into arriving at IAD instead of DCA and perhaps the wife can pick me up. Then we would both be out at Dulles/Reston. Work, flights timing, weather and ATC will drive whether I/we can make it. I'm thinking about going to the PBI/FLL do, so I might catch up with OZ then.

Mark your Calendars! (if this sort of thing interests you) On November 4th, about 30 or so moderators will be coming to the DC area for a moderator meeting. Randy will be present. Although there is an small get-together planned for some of the moderators on Friday, November 3rd, those mods ot attending that get-together will most likely be going out somewhere in the Ballston area. No details or plans a yet, but our meeting is being held in that area & most mods will be staying in the Ballston area hotels. I'm thinking that it may be a good idea to do an informal happy hour or something in the Ballston area (maybe Front Page or something?) on Friday night if anyone is interested? |

I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to make it to Flat Top after all tonight- work decided to send me to Omaha so I will be running through concourse B at ORD instead. :(
