Alright people - I have been receiving messages from folks about this thread getting way too confusing, with multiple events - who is going to be at which event and/or is talking about which event. I like how MileageAddict has clearly mentioned dates (it helps that he is going to be at both :) ). Would like to request you to do the same in your posts - just mention the date. Thanks! Alternately perhaps the Pre Mod Doo Event does warrant its own thread to get greater visibility - what say you? - put this on the ballott for our own referendum? |
pranu - I'd have to agree it is getting hard to follow with 2 things occurring a week apart. :)
bhatnasx raised the Mods/Talkboard drinkies deal back here: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showp...&postcount=579 It seems to be a separate thing, a one-off FT event, and as there are probably 30 or 40 mods/Talkboard members in town (sadly I'll miss it by 2 days as Randy's advice arrived after tickets booked) and it surely will be well attended. If Sam simply started a thread along those lines, and asked fellow Mods to move posts from here across, it might well simplify things for all concerned to follow. :D Over to bhatnasx - he started this. :D |
My vote is to leave them both and just ask people to specify which one they'll be attending. The purpose of this thread from the time it was first created was for DC based HH's that visitors were obviously welcome to join, but the general target was the local population ... Event for visitors in town, special events, etc were garnering their own thread -- not sure who was the first to start putting these other events into this thread and I for one don't have any major issue with them being in here - but it's for everyone to remember this IS the DC HH thread.
