It's all timing. Get there at 6:25 and you are golden. 6:45 will be touch and go and 7:00 will be tough.

Thanks for those, Glen - it's always nice to be able to add to the collection!

Back from DC today, and first time in front of a real computer for days. Schmoozed our way into a freebie upgrade for the long transpac, so most pleased. :D

Well we talked that waiter into schlepping up the full carton of 24 etched Capitol pint glasses, and that pretty well just did it numbers wise.

I took a note, and we were 24 folks there that night, so his guess was absolutely accurate. :)

Being upstairs on our own was a great spot for a large group like ours IMHO on a busy Friday night. Good work Pranu for securing it at short notice. ^

Wonderful catching up for a drink or four with lots of familiar faces again, and several new ones. ;)

And thanks again to dcgators for his most kind offer to Gator Limo ride us from Dulles to downtown. :-:

Glen -

Thanks for the pint glasses -- usually it's not the guests who bring the gifts, but I'm certainly not going to complain.

I enjoyed seeing a few familiar faces from the first DC Happy Hour I attended at 5 Guys, as well as meeting some new (to me) FlyerTalkers. I'm forever amazed with people (like pranu) who are able to organize FlyerTalk events like this while juggling "real" life. Thanks. I'm looking forward to the next event.

FYI - there is a separate thread for a Fairfax/Reston based happy hour in mid-July, if you're interested

Folks - Time to plan something for July. Any ideas/events?

I'm booked for July!

I've got a hell of a lot of travel coming up in the next 4 weeks:

July 9-12 - DEN for work (I'm actually flying on UA this time!)

July 13-16 - All Good Festival (camping & partying in the WV mountains with about 15,000 hippies - should be a good time) - no internet & no electricity :)

July 18-22 - SFO for work

July 23-25 - CVN for work

July 26-30 - driving from CVN to CDC via Colorado & southeastern Utah & hitting up some national parks!

July 31-Aug 2 - CDC for work & then driving down to Vegas to fly home

Aug 3-4 - Jimmy Buffett concert on the 3rd & hungover on the 4th :D

Aug 10-17 - LCA in Biz Class for vacation :)

I'm not the planning type, but would love to meet some of you folks while I'm still travelling down here in August.

Well, I certainly hope to finally make it to one of these very soon.
