Just got back from OzFest #3 in Brisbane today where 2 x FT'ers from DC attended .. one of whom - gvdIAD tells me he will make this DC Doo on Friday. :D

Do we have a venue agreed upon yet?

And a set time? I will need to standby for an earlier flight and need to know what time I'm shooting for IAD arrival.

David - why don't we agree on the TIME as say around 7.30pm if that will fit your movements pretty much, and from memory seem to be a pretty convenient time for most folks on Friday nights? Later is no issue whatever for us if that suits your flight etc.

As to location if there is a large parking station around Union Station as someone suggested, maybe one of those places around there might be the go - but we really do not mind - over to you guys, but for Friday and a dozen or so folks, might be an idea to settle on something now for sure, if they can guarantee a booking? In fact I'd suggest anywhere that can agree to a 7.30pm booking gets the gig. @:-)

We get on a plane to SFO in 2 hours so over to you locals to decide. :D

Isn't there a Capitol City pub right next door to Union Station - metro accessible via Union Station & good parking.

I would recommend somewhere that's willing & able to take reservations on a Friday night (Friday night in DC when the weather isn't too bad can be a tough time for a large group to show up at a bar near Capitol Hill).

I was going to suggest Pizzaria Uno in Union station as they have an upstairs room for parties, etc. and then head over to Cap City after the Friday eve crowd thins....
