Oz - count me in on June 2nd - I will definitely be in town that weekend. Any place in particular? There's always the hotel bar & depending on the time, I could probably give you a ride if you need one.

Me too for 6/2

Count me in for the 2nd. I work in the area so either after work drinks or food later works for me. Remind me to tell you about the 12 hour flight from BNE to GLT.

I can meet Friday night May 19 -- do you have a preference for type of meal?

We are on a very strict diet and can only eat seefood (we see it, we eat it ;) ) Actually, we will really go anywhere you suggest, perhaps somewhere that allows outside vino in (corkage OK). Any kind of California red wine that you like?

Folks I have posted the 19th May event on our first page. I am sorry I won't be able to make it.

Hope you get a decent crowd.

Enjoy!

Sam -- looks like about 8 folks so far for Friday June 2 from what I can see from the previous posts.

As I posted earlier Margaret and I will be staying for five nights at the Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill, so can readily commute anywhere that starts us from Union Station if nothing downtown is suitable to others!

Never been to a bad FT get-together yet in the DC area, so feel sure something good will eventuate - as always. Darn shame we missed that Georgetown Five Guys night ... sounded great. :D

June 2 works for me, and after the great time I had at Five Guys, I wouldn't want to miss another DC Happy Hour, so please add me to the list of attendees at whatever location is selected.

I'm off to the mini-DO in SEA that weekend but maybe our paths will cross at the Sonoma Arts/Wine DO in July.

Pizzaman, I stopped by 5 Guys Friday night to wish you a congrats in person (I walk by the joint nearly every day on my way from the GW Metro to Glover Park) and they said you weren't at work! Gosh, do you suppose the new daddy was at home with a big grin on his face just staring at the next empress of his domain? :D

I do want you to know that the staff was also grinning like it was their baby girl. How long before you bring her to work so she can taste the burgers and fries? I'll bring the wine. :)

I'll stop by again later, in the meantime a virtual congrats will have to do. ^

It's been a while since I've done one of these, but I HAVE to take another run at Ozstamps after he drank me under the table (and out of my redeye) in LA late last year....

Folks do we have any decision on the Location/Time for the June 2nd event?

skye1 May 17, 2006 9:51 pm

My two cents....I've got a 7pm flight out of DCA that evening, so I'd be happy to stop off for drinks/happy hour in DC on the way to the airport, if it's near a metro station.

I am in for June 2nd. My girlfriend may possibly come too.
