Thanks for the generous offer. Since it is a 'burger' type place, I would assume that most red wine would be a good match. As long as it is not Kendall Jackson wines. I rather drink beer instead. And don't even think of white Zinfandel :td:

Given it's burgers I'll go with something fairly robust along the lines of a merlot, zinfandel (hey how about a malbec for those of us trying to relive our EZE DO), something that can stand up to a hearty burger. I'd shy away from the lighter reds and avoid whites - period.

Actually I imagine a nice red Zin (repeat after me: zin is red.. zin is red.. zin is red...) would go nicely with a Five Guys burger.

As would a good Shiraz.

Even perhaps a nice Côtes du Rhône?

For that matter, cab franc.. usually used more as a blending grape.. would turn out well here me thinks!

OK, for starters, white wine is barely wine, let alone white zinfandel. As gleff said, zin is RED. We have a nice zin, nice cab franc and a carmenere on the menu that go well with burgers. My personal preference is Zins with a nice body, so I'll probably blow the dust off a bottle or two of some good zin.

Where To Park

If you're driving to the DO, I suggest you park on K St, west of Wisconsin, under the Whitehurst Freeway. There are many spots extending for about 4-5 blocks. You should park at an angle facing out. Check the time when meters are required (not sure), it's on the meter. This is your best bet rather than driving around Gtown looking for that mythical parking place last observed in the late 80's. :D

There are also a couple of parking lots if you want to pay. One is located directly behing the CVS two blocks further up Wisconsin. Another one is on Prospect Street, which is two blocks South of us on Wisconsin.
