Hi all
I didn't plan to make this trip and I still have no plans but right now the possibility is there. I am ticketed on the following flights
ORD-NRT-SIN (waitlisted for C) on 5/25
SIN-HKG-ORD (waitlisted for C) on 5/31
So I could easily make a trip to Bali on the 27th returning on 28th. I will keep you guys updated.

Another reminder re the Friday dinner at Mozaic... Dinner list closes at end of day Thursday 18May, Chicago time. Just because you are listed on StarG's master list for the dinner does not mean you are confirmed. If I have not received a deposit from you by this Thursday evening, you won't have a seat at the Mozaic dinner as we will need to confirm & guarantee that night with Mozaic the exact number for the 26th. I'm about to leave Bali for SIN and I thought I'd give you all a brief report. First of all, the weather has been GREAT lately. Second, hardly anyone is here. The place is quite empty.
I'm at the Intercontinental in Jimbaran which is a really, really, really nice hotel. For Club guests, they have a Club at the airport and they escort you through immigration and customs. No lines and a cool lemongrass drink in the club followed by a smooth ride to the hotel in a Jaguar. Free eats and drinks anytime you want in the Club. While we sampled that, we of course left this fine resort to see the real Bali and eat real Balinese food.
We rented a scooter to drive around to Nusa Dua, Kuta, etc. Lots of fun. For me, a scooter is the only way to get around this part of Bali. I'm happy that this is the low season. I don't think I'd like it here during the high season.

I realize this is on very very short notice.... but: I've just found a fantastic (non-public) airfare on SQ for ZRH-DPS, and I might just be able to make it to Bali for this weekend. Is it too late to join? Would I still be able to find a hotel room? Or share one?
