Lunar new year

Wouldn't we bump into Lunar new year, Feb 18 2007, if we do that? There are all sorts of implications, and traveling around Asia at that point is just more trouble than it's worth.

I am thinking it will probably be best to go with the time tested tradition of MLK weekend. People book early (in fact have done so again this year) on the assumption that that is the weekend.

Hope everyone can make it.

When's this MLK weekend thingy?

I have to join my parents in Osaka for a few days. Wouldn't mind stretching out my budget a little for a few nights' stopover in SIN for SIN Run. Might even do a seperate trip if the 2 don't coincide - never been to something like that before so I'm pretty keen.

And it's supposed to be so busy as to render reservations right now necessary?

It is if you're trying to get cheap seats from somewhere like Oz/NZ which sell out a loooong way ahead for that period. This is the latest I have booked for SIN RUN.

Would it matter less if I'm only looking for fares with 100% accrual rates on M+M?

Depends - full fare econ, no problem getting availability until very late. Discounted biz/first may already be gone.

Unfortunately I'll only be able to fly Y for that trip. An M class it is.
