zvezda -

the UA website claims that both flights were in on time.

They don't love us any more, that's all.

Anyhow, I really enjoyed the satays, even the beef lung ones, and
the company of the 14 other food fanatics who joined.

What's for lunch? I think belle3388 suggests a place with
great xiao long bao and dun dun noodles down by the Marriott.

Hey it's from the famous Canadian chocolate maker! Fancy for more tonight?
Well, no cooler given to me last night. So no Fauchon for you guys. Its 9am and had one Amande already.
Hopefully the SQ997 will have the same pattern for the last several days, i.e. arrived early at Changi. Thus will be faster to reach at the dinner.

Well it is 9am here in Singapore and no signs of rain. Actually saw the sun! Unfortunately I wasn't up to the munch last night, but am looking forward to meeting everyone at dinner. Over 50 attendees - isn't that great! I was very glad everyone on my UA NRT-SIN flight yesterday got their upgrades, even if they did keep mjm waiting until the gate! Apparently Hunki and Punki were #1 and #2 on the upgrade list, so were you #3? I have no complaints with UA's Pacific service.

It is hard for me to think of coming to SIN and not having a Singapore Sling at the Long Bar. I know it is touristy but I can't help it! I'm not going to attend the Night Safari, so if anyone else suffers from this addiction and has Sunday evening free, let me know tonight.

CGK & Kiwi -- please please please bring your friends some fauchon! I do hope that CGK isn't riding in cargo again today like he did yesterday afternoon And the chocolates were indeed very good - thanks again!

ENick - thanks for posting for us last night. We couldn't browse or post...many thanks for helping us find PeteFlys. Yes, he did find us & without the assistance of Lee Sharpe.

Thanks to my pals for a great time last night! Including those who were there, but not really there We were going to head to LPS for munchies after leaving the NAB but fly4fun told us that everyone had already left.

See some of you in a few hours for lunch & everyone tonight for dinner! Great to hear that mafbar will be joining us!

Don't know yet. Last night about 4AM when we turned in, belle3388 said not to call her too early so we're giving her at least until 1130 or 1200. We'll post it here as soon as we know but I would figure on about 1300.

Would someone please post the location (near the Marriott?) and the time (13:30?) for Saturday's dim sum?

Basically dry in Southern SIN yesterday, we heve Kiwi Flyer's generic forecast for Sunday & Monday ("Showers with thunder in the afternoon."). Today's is simply Showers with thunder in the afternoon affecting northern eastern and western Singapore!.

So that's great... looking forward to tonights do ... ^^^

DIM SUM LUNCH 13:30 on Saturday

For DIM SUM lunch: meeting at 13:30 at Raffles Place MRT Station (outside, in Raffles Square, next to main entrance in OUB Shopping Centre!!!).

If you miss the meeting above, head directly to the lunch place called THE TEAHOUSE (located on top level in CHINA SQUARE).

If really interested, PM me and we'll upgrade the communication system...

Cheers

PS Still undecided if DIM SUM or TIM SUM

I'll be found in the executive lounge of the Conrad before we head to dinner. 5:30 is when I'll be there. Have fun at dim sum; it's nap time for me.

Punki and I are heading out from the Conrad at about 1210-1215 to take a leisurely stroll down to the MRT station. If anyone wants to join us, we'll be in the lobby in about 15 minutes. We plan on stopping by the Fullerton Hotel to get info on their Sunday brunch. It's similar in scale to the brunch at the Breakers in Palm Beach and John Hancock in Chicago.

cheers.
