Some questions for you, JPB.
1. Saturday 27 Aug, which flight works best for you?
SQ65 BKK-13:30 SIN-16:55
or
SQ63 BKK-11:15 SIN-14:40

2. Of course if you can have the Monday off, that will great. Mr. Paffendorf posted previously may be SQ62 SIN-11:00 BKK-12:25

3. I notice that you are LH M&M member. Have you thought about this promo:

Starting July 20, 2005, youll be able to earn miles, status miles and HON Circle miles on all SWISS-operated flights, as well as redeem your miles for flight awards with SWISS. And to make sure travel will be comfortable, you can relax in the SWISS Business Class Lounges.

To celebrate this new cooperation, Miles & More has an exclusive welcome offer for you. Youll earn an extra 1,000 miles in Economy Class or 2,000 miles in Business Class for your first European cross-border flight with SWISS. Your first flight with SWISS outside Europe will earn you an extra 2,500 miles in Economy Class, 5,000 miles in Business Class or 10,000 miles in First Class.*

This promotion is valid from July 20 through September 15, 2005, and
requires registration.
If you can not take a day off Monday, may be you should consider leaving Sunday night on LX183 SIN-21:15 BKK-22:45.
I think the DOers on Sunday would not mind to have an earlier dinner and you still can catch your flight back to BKK.

What do you think?

I will ask my boss about taking the Monday off first thing next week when he is back in the office.

For the 27th my preferance would be SQ63 flight but either is fine my me. If I get the Monday off then SQ62 sounds good, otherwise I will try the LX option on Sunday.

If you want to go ahead and book your flights just let me know which ones you opt for.

No worry. Every flight looks widely open. I can wait till Monday or Tuesday for your itinerary... SQ63 would be fine, and yes I am hoping you can get the day off Monday, so that we can have a party flight on SQ62 and SKL F before departure together with paffendorf... BTW, are you staying in FS again? If I may know, which class of service you will be in?

There is always a reason to take the SQ F anytime, especially to BKK via SIN. :-: But perhaps there is no time off from work? Come on, do I have to ask the queen of armtwister to haunt you?

How long will you stay in BKK? Perhaps you can get confirmed SIN-ZRH or SIN-FRA or SIN-LHR (great with Connexion available)...

It's very amazing to know that Mr. Paffendorf is doing a turn-around! ^ For qualification this year, or for LPP ... Any plan to hit the city in couple hours?

Great! But are you sure you don't want to take the 744 aircraft with SkySuite?

Aug 27 and 28

OK, all, just want to confirm attendance at the Sin min Do on the 27th and 28th. For the 27th:

cawhite
CGK
sailaway75
Jubilee777
jpb
paffendorf
jjpb3
MovieMan

Anyone else??

So far, plans are to meet for drinks (CGK has suggested Bar None at the Marriott hotel), then do a "hawker food run" (suggestions for where to go are highly appreciated!), then finish with drinks, maybe at the New Asia Bar at Stamford Swissotel (especially if we can convince sailaway75 to get us into the VIP area! ).

For Sunday the 28th, we're planning on meeting for dinner at Indochine Waterfront Restaurant (probably around 7, to enjoy the sunset). On the list so far:

CGK
paffendorf
JPB
MovieMan

Anyone else who wants to join is more than welcome! Just post in this thread so we know how many to make the reservation for.

Cheers!

CGK, do you still need my assistance in twisting a particular FTers arm for the 27th as we'd discussed?

For those who are going to be there the weekend of the 27th, you might want to catch this if you have the time: http://www.womadsingapore.com

MovieMan, a couple of quetions:

1. What time are we meeting for the pre-dinner drinks?

2. Also, given the range of venues we'll be at, what's the dress code (asks he who melts in too much heat)?
