Open to any other suggestion or dining preference!

Hi MovieMan and jjpb3: My proposal is to have pre-drinks may be at bar None - Marriot Hotel, dinner, than continuing with drinks at dance club/bar like New Asia Bar at Swissotel Stamford (suddenly I feel like to dance with somebody
). Thus, I am thinking of suggesting for a cheaper place to eat this time. Well you know how expensive drinks are in Singapore.
Anyway, to tone down the festivities, may be we should go to hawkers centre somewhere selling many samples of Singaporean dishes like martabak
, laksa, chicken rice, nasi lemak, satay, ice kacang, cendol, ... or even wonton soup. What do you think JPB, cawhite, and sailaway? How about my "maybe" Paffendorf
? Any voices?

Wow, I have to stop reading these threads. The urge to drop everything, like my entire life, and come to SIN for the festivities is overwhelming. The menu sounds fantastic no matter where you go. I'd vote for New Asia, but of course I wont be there!
Maybe next time.

. We can always finish with drinks at New Asia bar regardless of where we eat so CGK can dance the night away, especially if sailaway75 can get us into the VIP area yet again..

Just read how I get flamed for posting what happened on LH FRA-CGN to my father:
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?p=4464151
Look at the bottom of the thread.
Ridiculous FTers on the LH board, claiming how much FAs have to do on an intra German flight, noone commented on my comparison to SIN-CGK service, and SQ would never forget to give back the jacket, especially when there are only 5 people in C on such a short flight.

I love the fusion cuisine....but I'd have to vote for the hawker run.. I was telling CGK yesterday afternoon that would fit the bill for me. All my favourites there, including murtabak
