I am curious, how was your flight back from HKG couple days ago? Any OP-UP? You are very lucky not flying a day later with all BA flights cancelled. In fact i was in the same continent as you that day.

Hmmm, Kiwi, that is a relevant point. Some how it went right past me! Is Luke responding to CGK forward comments in some kind of code?

Due to the strike in LHR, CX had to load in HKG the catering both for HKG-LHR and LHR-HKG sectors . Because of this fact and limited space on board the aircraft, Duty free shop was not available, no refreshments between the two meals and on the HKG-LHR the first meal (dinner/supper) consisted only in sandwiches and cheese.

as i told you that evening, CX is a very good airline but SQ is THE AIRLINE.
Btw, i have now to discuss with BA for Exec Point (i hate them!), and i'm writing a little note for CX about my experience (both positive thinngs and negative one).

I have to say, CX is "right up there" these days.
The food situation is more livable with IMHO than the plane not going when I need/want it too!
This trip (I am in KUL at the moment), I have had 2 typhoons (only the PVG one was serious), smoke haze, and potentially delayed or no BA flight from SIN...aiyoh
