Hope the cake and the card will erase your puzzling mind of the missing b'day cake on your LAX-SIN flight. And, I received your message regarding problems getting check-in because they can not find the UA ticket number for your last segment. Hope the cake and card will negate this problem. Perhaps you should post your experience using E-tix for SQ flights on UA award. It seems that the glitch keeps coming back. Just to make UA flyers who redeem their M+ miles on SQ/UA awards aware of the possibility of glitch in the ticket numbers.

I thought if we all six forced ourselves inside the cockpit, it would be fit. There was plenty of space. (Should do Mr. Bean's moment ... ) But the crew requested two pax per visit, and we pushed it to three.

Just got home -- I was able to make standby on the 1355 departure out of LAX so I went straight from the TBIT to the gate & also got my seat in F Great experience on SQ F! And it was a beautiful day to fly, the sky was clear and great views as far as Manila on SIN-NRT.

Too bad they hadn't run out about an hour before then...

I'll try to find a concise way to explain the problems I ran into along the way with the e-ticket (there's a thread on UA asking about etickets for UA & SQ). I'm guessing it doesn't typically take about 25 minutes for the SQ F checkin at SIN?

It has been fun meeting you all on Saturday and I enjoyed it a lot. I am just at the end of a 4 month backpacking trip of the south pacific and got used to living on a very low budget. Eating at a "fancy" restaurant was quite a nice and different experience for this trip as well. Thanks to ManFlyer (or should we say - LplFlyer) for the champagne and I wish Liverpool WILL play at the champions leage next year.

I flew this trip to Asia with etix on UA and SQ...seamless and no problems at all. None.

Edited to add: except that UA lost my luggage from ORD to EWR...but SQ knew about it and informed me at the lounge in EWR before SQ21.

Hello everyone. I finally made it home. The Four Points sold my 5am arrival room since there were 3 flight cancellations at LAX on Sunday night. I was in no mood to argue and just drove home where I have been sleeping every since.

The Balinese upgrade God came through for me on the DPS-GUM segment, which was a good thing since the flight was full. I had to pay $60 for overstaying my visa. And the lounge had some sort of room freshener which made me sick so I spent most of my wait outside chancing more mosquito bites, but I fared well.

The flight from DPS-GUM was a nightmare. First of all the secondary screening at the gate, they took away all of my matches including two books of paper matches. I asked for the supervisor and he told me that it was a TSA rule. I told him to go to the website and check the rules, since I am allowed four books of paper matches. The plane was waiting for me and I told the FO to back me up on this and all he wanted was my email so that he could check later and tell me the rules. My last words in this were, "how the hell did I get these cheap paper matches through LAX, HNL and GUM?".
I was in 2B and people were allowed to come up front to use the lav. All of a sudden a japanese girl came up and vomited right in front of me in the galley. I walked back to the rear galley where two bozo doctors were trying to get the plane to divert for the other two medical emergencies. None life-threatening. We landed in GUM where I almost missed my connection. Life is good in 2D on the 764 to HNL where I spent my time drinking cappuccinos trying to stay away. Oh, and this flight also had a medical emergency in the back. I got pulled over for a secondary custom screening at HNL, but this time he only looked through my purse. That always happens to me in HNL.

So, I want to say a big thank you to all you. And, there are a few of you that I didn't get the chance to say goodbye. But, I will be there next year!

Diana - glad you did at least make it home & the Balinese upgrade gods were smiling on you. Hope you're feeling better now!!! Sorry we didn't get more of a chance to talk at DPS & had to say such a rushed goodbye, but I think we might have cut it a bit closer than any of us thought we were! We all made out SQ147 flight back to SIN, although there was a rumour at one point after the 1L door was closed that Jubliee was nowhere to be found. Thankfully he did show up in time for our pre-departure photo!
