Perhaps the agent did not know well about RTW regarding connecting within 24 hours did not consider as stop-over. The agent just saw it you left SIN different date than your arrival.

This is a friendly reminder for Ms cawhite60516. Please when you check-in at LAX for your SQ19, make sure asking for the package I left. It seems when I passed there last Monday, not all the agents knew about the arrangement.

The SQ contracted lounge in DPS is listed as "PT JASA Angkasa Semesta (Jas)". Not sure if that means anything to anybody--it certainly doesn't to me. :) Oh well, I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Wow....with a name like that, how did u remember it?

I didn't quite recall much about the lounge....then again, I had food poisoning towards the end of my Bali trip 2 yrs back. Careful with the water though....I think I had tainted bottled water...ended up having the runs for 2 nites... :(

Luckily, I have a photographic memory for airline lounges. (What's more amazing is that I have never even been to Bali!)*

Don't go for small-name brands as you'll never know how they manufacture those bottled water. AQUA and ADES are both among the most trusted brands (AQUA is widely available in SIN).
A participant of our conference in Vietnam last year also got sick after drinking a local bottled water there. :eek:

Wish I could join you all, but I'll be spending next weekend with a bunch of old school friends and several crates of beer on a little rock with a lighthouse called Sultan Shoal, about an hour's boat ride from Singapore. Hmm ... I will get scolded by the R-C fan. I don't particularly like the hotel, except for the bathtub by the window. Location wise is not good for tourist like me. It's quite a hassle to go to MRT station, especially with the construction at Marina Square, in addition to RAIN when I had to be in a hurry to go to Funan IT. I personally like the interior design of the room at Grand Hyatt than R-C. And, GH is centrally located for my needs.

GH is indeed nice, especially the renovated wing, and the lounge is quite impressive.

Right. I like the Grand Rooms. It's huge and modern looking. B&O tv looks fit for the room style.
Well, at YVR I have to pay whooping 14.5% taxes. Well at least at Funan I get my GST back. My SO needs Airport Express and some other Mac products. I lost my beloved iPods in one of my flight recently. So, got the replacement there.
