I am a foreigner to Bali. That's why an SQ TPP but a GA mere Silver. ;) Well, I don't have any plan for Sunday yet. Perhaps another visit for spa in the afternoon will do for me. Brunch or lunch will be great as well. Or go for a swim at RC as the guests of MegaTopLover and Mr. would be great. I love the pool there. LAX SQ Station Manager, would you please page cawhite60516 before boarding her first SQ flight to answer this Sunday activities questions? :D |
Answering the BaliDo Courtesy Phone..
Yes CGK... :) Can you spell out those plans for Saturday as to what you think we'll do for sightseeing? I have a couple of ideas but don't want to repeat anything. Another spa visit might be in order as you'd mentioned, as well as a couple hours of beach time. I'd also suggest that the PLTs get as late checkout as possible at the Westin. I think the GLDs might also have some luck with that.

And yes, MegatopLover...pity that cabin crew! :D |
Trying to figure out a few things for Sunday in addition to some pool/beach time. One of the ideas is Pura Luhur Uluwatu, here are two sites with info, it is located on the far southwestern end of Nusa Dua. Supposed to be fantastic for sunsets, but with 1806 sunsets, that probably doesn't bode well for those of us on a 2005 departure that same day.
Another option would be instead to head back to Central Bali? Ubud for shopping & more spa treatments (such as Zen)? Other villages in Central Bali? Spend the entire day being lazy & lounging poolside/at the beach(es)? Thoughts???? Suggestions???? |
well, i think i will be recovering from the bar crawl...sleep late...eat a huge brunch and laze out at the pool...and demand late checkout...

I think we can check in an hr prior to departure, but I'll leave to the experts to determine that.. :D |

The check-in agents weren't very friendly either. They went thru my ticket (RTW) with a fine-tooth comb, and determined I had to pay SIN departure tax, even though I am flying out the next day (so technically a transit point, since no same-day connecting flt available). Too lazy to argue after being sunburnt for a week. Perhaps we can get the red-carpet treatment with CGK on the same flight. :D |

I have FINALLY managed to get a redemption ticket, so I am confirmed (no more WL) *yay*... Think I will now try to get a room at Westin, since most of the gang is there.... ^
StarG, pls get rid of the irritating WL beside my name :D Thanxs Uluwatu is not very far, approx 20- 25mins from the airport, but i guess it might be a slight rush to catch the flight. |
Jubilee777, happy to do that. It's done. :)

Thanks for the info on distance of Uluwatu. I'm going to let others decide if they want to try to do it for sunset on Sunday, otherwise I'm content to go late Sunday morning. |

As to activities on Sunday, given my nil knowledge of Bali, I am open to anything. Though of course late wake-up/brunch/check-out also sound exceedingly appealing, especially considering the probable bar crawl the previous evening, and the fact that I am anything but a morning person... ;) |
