Are these seats in the shade or in the sun?

Yeah, like you'd be aiming for her head... I think that you're a couple of rows in front of her so you can turn around and aim better. :)

The Saturday tickets are definitely in the sun. The Friday/Sunday tickets could be either way - they're under the upper deck but only in the 3rd row.

I've already divvied up the tickets by person to make sure that I didn't forget anybody... so forget any more requests because I'm not doing it again! :)

Tickets will be distributed tomorrow to everybody that wants/needs their tickets before the Saturday Happy Hour (including those going to Friday night's game!)

328 row 3 on Friday/Sunday - it's the last section down the LF line, but the first one where we could get 12 seats together. On Saturday, we're in 522, which is halfway between home and 3rd, above the walkway in the upper deck.

The game starts at 7 pm ... how much sun can we possibly be talking about?

True enough. I'll be without a hat anyway, as neither my Orioles' or White Sox hats would be appropriate at this game!! And my Orioles' hat is in storage until Sammy Sosa is no longer an Oriole.

The coffin isn't even supposed to open until the sun is below the horizon! :D

At the game on Saturday, the people under the overhang were the LUCKIEST, as the torrential downpours did not affect them! :D

Rats. I will be in DC from the 15-18, but I am going to be in a conference, and won't have a chance to escape :(

Update:
  • I found some pictures of the view from our seats: Friday and Sunday -- Saturday
  • The extra four Friday tickets are on ebay, ending Monday afternoon. No bids yet, but three people are watching and all the other Friday 4-ticket auctions that are ending before mine have gotten action. I did get one inquiry from somebody that wanted only 3 tickets and wanted me to cut him a deal. I probably won't be able to recoup full face value plus ticketmaster fees plus ebay/paypal fees plus shipping, but I'm hoping to get back 40-70% of cost. If nobody bids on them, I'm going to see if I can donate them to a "boys & girls club" type organization that can bring some disadvantaged kids to the game. EDIT Monday noon: Bidding is up to $107.50, so about $90 net.
  • There is still one Sunday ticket available.

ElmhurstNick May 9, 2005 2:41 pm

We ended up with $138.50 minus $14 in ebay/paypal expenses and $10.50 for last minute postage. So that's $114 of the $144 that we had invested in those four tickets.

So in total, I'm short $66 - $30 for Friday and $36 for Sunday's single. Those of you who think you owe me something (I've honestly lost track by this point) can make a contribution when you see me.

I'm officially bailing out

Yes, I know I'm lame.

I have a rager of a sinus infection, I have a paper due on Friday, I'm a few days behind on the calculus, and the flight loads are to the point that I'm almost guaranteed a coach middleseat on the redeye transcon...if I even make the flight at all.

SO....
as much as I love each and every one of you, I will be staying home in my jammies with hot tea, sudafed, and a TI-89 this weekend.

GoingAway has my ticket to the spymuseum if anyone is interested in it (you'll have to ask her how much it was because I can't remember), and my seat to Saturday's game is open to anyone on the waitlist...markbach???

Wireless
will be utilizing my +1 ticket.
