If we want a luxury suite in DC, we'd have to find a strip club. |
And yet again, the ***** from the Nationals did not call. I've left two messages and tried calling the main number again and got put on hold for another 30 minutes with no answer.

BTW, can you mail out Friday's ticket and for Saturday, we'll just get it from you when we meet for drinks/eats beforehand (or at the stadium if they can't give you the tickets before then :o ) |

I'm holding a reservation at the Sheraton National (over by DCA) for Friday and Saturday nights, but may change if I can find something better (i.e. in the city). It was for $139 a night through starwood.com, with cancellations allowed. I'm getting nothing on Priceline, and a lot of the hotels downtown show no availability on their websites - is something else going on that weekend, or is it always tight on the weekends?
I'm in for lunch on Saturday, but not the spy museum - there's too much else to see in DC, since I haven't been there since I was 10. |

Ditto the sucky hotel price experience. I booked the Homewood Suites at Mass Ave. & 15th for $135 a night six months ago, figuring I could get a better deal as the time got closer. Ha....the hotel is double that the last time I checked, and Hotwire was so high I didn't even check PL. Hell, with everybody paying so much for their hotels, I may just go to a packy and setup a hospitality bar at the Homewood so that folks can have a few cocktails without busitn' their budgets...... :D

I FINALLY heard back from the woman at the Nationals' today. She was very apologetic about the whole thing. First, it took her five minutes to find our order because she had misspelled ILP's name. Finally she found the order. The tickets had not been printed yet, and I explained that this wasn't going to work because I had to mail tickets out to people. She apologized again and explained that they had to replace their vendor to whom they had outsourced the ticket printing, and that they were trying to get caught up on weekdays where there was no day game.
She said that she would make sure the tickets get printed tomorrow (day game today) and she would FedEx them to me at my office. I also requested that she email me the tracking number. Assuming the tickets really show up Friday morning, I'll be mailing out tickets later that day to everybody from whom I have received payment. |
