It's not exactly Singapore, but the fares should be cheap enough and I can mix in an afternoon in our Chevy Chase office visiting some of my coworkers.
Sounds like a plan. But we'd have to jump on the tix as soon as they went on sale. Nobody draws like the Cubs - AND in a new city?

I will most likely be +1 as my cousin spent $600 to go to the last series in Montreal in September, and unless he has a work issue will almost certainly attend.

I'm thinking of just getting a dozen tickets for each of the three games the day they go on sale, and selling off what I can't use the week before. I read that RFK is going to seat 44,000 for baseball, so it won't be an easy ticket.

May

I don't know where I'll be in May but count me in for at least some of the games, and whatever other activities that might get set up. I guess I should attend one of the games their first season back in DC.

The only other bball game I've attended with FT'ers was the one where I think I saw the teams getting announced and the national anthem and well, that was about it (I did use the binos for some sightseeing, though ) I looked at the field when everyone else cheered or checked the scoreboard occasionally. It was Sea-DO this year and they were even playing my team, then again the outcome was pretty clear early in the game. Maybe I'll actually watch the game a little more this time (or not)

Seeing's how:

1. Finals will be over by May 12th, possibly the 11th
2. I still love my Cubbies (anyone going to spring training?-already booked weekend of 3/18-3/20)
3. This'll be a great opportunity to hang with ORD, WAS and other FT'ers

I am most definitely in. Can someone get a bunch of tickets when they go on sale in January? I'd be able to for sure make the Sat. and Sunday games. What a great combo idea! Baseball and a do...now, where have I heard of that before?

OK, all booked...getting into IAD at about 6:15 Friday night 5/13, leaving Sunday about noon...AA sale, $189.40 all in (this'll be my 2006 EXP qualifying flight if all goes well next year...). Saturday game's going to be all I can make...bummer!Here's hoping we can get some good seats!

We're going to be in Arizona April 1-6 - will catch two spring training games, then the Cubs open at Arizona so we'll overpay for opening day and go to the second game.

Fred - I'll definitely be down in AZ at some point during the month - not sure just when yet. Think we can sneak a bottle of cold cava in to Ho Ho Kam?

Well, ILP, if we can't sneak any cava into HoHoKam, we can sure's heck consume a bottle or two before (yikes!) or after! Paging Alan for special delivery...oh, Alllllllannnnnnnnnnnn.....

Jan - I have about a dozen non-FT'ers (the nerve!) headed to PHX for that weekend from both SEA and ORD. Some of the guys already have golf on the brain, but I'm leaning more towards baseball, wings & beer. A "Do" would be AWESOME if we could get this integrated!

We "wing snobs" will be headed to Papillon's Too, I believe at approx. Gilbert just south of Broadway in Mesa, as a post-game wing -n- watering hole (it's a tradition). I'm tentitively booked at the PHX Hilton that weekend awaiting better "PL" deals. Rather than hijack this thread, maybe we oughtta start a PHX Spring Training "do" thread?

I'm the same as RoboDoctor. I'll probably decide at the last minute and have to scalp. But it would be worth it!

Bump... The Nationals have a new subsite at MLB.com

http://washington.nationals.mlb.com/...x.jsp?c_id=was

Tickets aren't on sale yet except for season tickets. My guess is that single game tickets should go on sale sometime in late January, but I've signed up for their email newsletter so I can get the exact date.
