Add me to the list for Saturday! I currently live only a 2-hour drive south of DC but will probably be living in Los Angeles in May. I'm not going to worry about booking an air ticket just yet since flights from LAX-IAD are generally very cheap considering the distance.

A hint for those flying into IAD on AA or UA: You can usually standby on a flight to DCA at no charge since the two airports (as well as BWI) are considered co-terminals. It's a hassle to get from IAD to downtown DC---either a $50+ cab ride or an hour-long bus/Metro ride (long in traffic). DCA is much closer, of course.

We're getting group tix, but Ieva has to buy a single game ticket? What's up with that? ;)

He's afraid he may be forced to watch my patented "Tele-Tubbie" dance, last performed at the SEA game. ;)
But no fears, guys. You would only see that when the Yankees have scored. :D

Nick, just to make sure...I need a ticket for Sat night too. You might want to consider setting up a Paypal account so we can pay you in advance....

BAMAT, if tickets are so pricey from the North Pole/Edmonton, perhaps you have mileage that needs burning up...

Or I believe it may also be performed at a certain alcoholic breaking point. It could make for a good experiment that weekend. ;)

Group and single game tickets appear to be going on sale at the same time, that dreaded "TBD."

It looks like we won't qualify for a group for Friday or Sunday, so I'm just planning on buying a bunch of tickets (however many we have plus maybe 5 more) for those games. Saturday looks like we will qualify for a group if it's 20, but maybe not if it's 25.

And yes, I do plan on setting up a paypal account and distributing the tickets in advance.

I'll call the Nationals again tommorrow and see if they have figured out the group sales logistics yet.

Well, we just need to keep bumping this up and talking it up at our Chicago lunches. I know of at least three people (two of whom are in DC or VA) who have not posted here that have expressed some sort of interest. And I'll be talking it up in SEA next weekend at a little FT dinner.

Make me a definite for Saturday since that seems to be the popular choice :)

The first post in the thread now has updated attendance information.

Can I get three DC-based volunteers to take over the following tasks:

1. Find a suitable lunch place for Saturday with easy access to the usual sightseeing destinations. (e.g. a little further out like Dupont Circle is fine, but it should be a short walk from a metro stop). Suitable usually sort of means inexpensive local cuisine, but I'm not sure if DC has local cuisine.

2. Identify locations for suitable post-game activities.

3. Poke at other DCA/IAD/BWI-based FTers and get them to sign up before tickets go on sale. :)

I'm obviously not a local, but would like to suggest http://www.lauriolplaza.com/ as a place for lunch on Saturday - it's big and has some of the best blended margaritas you could ask for. I was first taken there by a Flyertalker, so you know it has to be good! :D

Pitchers of margaritas and tequila shots ... can't be bad. Paging BAMAT and Missy :D

Looks like I'll be leaving my car at home on Saturday ;)
