Cubs convention is next weekend. You can rest assured they won't be selling tickets. I think the Sox are the only MLB team selling single game tix - except they're not selling the tickets for the Cubs games - still trying to keep the Cubs fans out of the Cell! :D

Would be interested in hearing if and when anyone else gets a good hotel rate in D.C. for that weekend.

I'll go to a game one of the nights .... whichever the most plan on being in attendance. Is this going to be a whole weekend kind of thing and if so, is there a schedule of sorts?

Do we REALLY have a baseball team now?!?!

I think the schedule is pretty much the same as the topic! That isn't to say a local couldn't pick up the ball and run with it (I guess that's a different sport)!

I would imagine that Saturday night's game is the focal point of the weekend, with various groups going off and sightseeing and/or people watching on Saturday afternoon and some sort of bar adventures after the two evening games.

Unbelievable!

Just booked the trip - Friday afternoon to Monday a.m. Only $103.40 R/T on AA! Same price returning on Sunday evening.

Oh my God that is stupid cheap! I just booked for Thursday night to Sunday night, as I'm going to spend Friday working out of our company's Chevy Chase office.

Awesome! It's probably going to cost me that much in gas and parking to drive in from rural Virginia...LOL

Well, that's a given. What isn't a given is the fares. I can't get a decent deal from here! I'm still on the "maybe" list for now....but I want to go, so we'll see. :)

But wait a second, this is the first time in like 30 years that the loonie is actually worth something!! :) So why are the fares $464?!? And that's to ride in an RJ from YEG-ORD??

How are we supposed to get you drunk on martinis if you have to spend more than three of us combined to get there? ;)

hmmm, baseball & FT. Very interested. Is it too late to be put on the list of Sat folk needing a ticket?

Currently holding a rez for late arrival on Fri night into IAD, with a departure out of (god help me)DCA Sun night. You guys will have to post your post-game location for those of us arriving late. Just to help us console you, you understand. ;)
