I would love to change my status, believe me. However, due to the Wussy syndrome, I cannot. Not even for the great MA. :)

However, if I can be there, I will. But if my kids need me, I am home. I will be watching on the TV if I am not there. I expect to see a "RobotDoctor is a Wussy" banner if I am not there. :D

Let's hope it's a nationally televised game, so you can at least see it (the banner, that is!)! :D

Don't know how old your kids are, but it's never too early to take them to our nation's capitol. And, more importantly, to start collecting their memories of seeing the Cubs whenever and wherever possible! Uncle ILP will even buy a hot dog! (Wait, how many kids are there?) :D

I have WGN so the game does not have to be televised nationally. ;)

The Little Robots are 8 and 6 (oldest will be 9 at gametime). I am certain the oldest might be able to take in the game but the youngest would never make it through the game. Of course, DC offers many wonderful things to do other than the game. Yes, it is never too early to start my kids as being Cubs fans. Believe me, they will if I have anything to do with it. :D Uncle ILP buying my kids hot dogs is ever so enticing. ^

Doc, I'd be happy to help out Uncle Jeff and assist in providing your yong 'uns with candy and cokes at the ballgame as well...then watch the fun start as the "sugar buzz" takes over! :)

Go Cubbies!

Put me down for Friday and Saturday. I was looking for an excuse to see the Nationals (at least the uniforms and stadium - the team will probably be sad), and I'm always up for the Cubs. No plane tickets yet, but there's plenty of time.

Excellent! Consider yourself put down.

Put down? That doesn't sound inviting, somehow. ;)

I was wondering who wouldn't be able to resist... :) ILP must be out to dinner.

Put me as an excited possible. That is very likely to be a week that finds me in Maryland anyway. Just a matter of making the flight into DCA instead of BWI.

QUIET, You! No comments from you until you say "I will be attending this event" :p

Oh sure, I know your kind. Get the kiddies in an uproar and let the parent deal with it while you make a hasty exit. I should know, I was one of these types in my prefamily days. :D

Finally got through to a person in the Nationals' ticket office, on the first ring no less!
  • Single tickets go on sale March 1. That means that we'll need a confirmed number for those dates by Friday 2/25.
  • Group tickets will go on sale before then, but they're still trying to figure out the logistics. The gentleman took my name and cellphone number and what I was interested in (25 seats for 5/14) and is going to pass it along to the group sales coordinator.

Excellent! Great work, Nick, thanks for bird doggin' this. Should be a fine "Do" with all the appropriate "accoutrements" :D

^ My only concern is Nick's recent demonstration of some difficulty with an ability to count! ;)
