I personally enjoy this event. Sent a nice gift last year and got a nice gift last year. Don't really care what I get, I have too much fun figuring out what to get others. Took my chances this year and hope my recipient likes his gift.

My gift was mailed yest, so my secret santa recipient should have a pretty package by turkey day. I signed it; figured they'd figure out anyway by my last name on the address label. I actually got something that matched the interests expressed by the person (novel thought!). It was fun, although took some guesswork on my part since that interest isn't one of mine. Cheers. Sharon

OK, I'm in. Anyone shipping to the EU should mark the contents as "Gift" or "Cadeaux" in French. This will eliminate duty fees in my experience.

When I sent some software to my sister in Brussels earlier this year via FedEx overnight, I marked "Unsolicited Gift Item" on the outside (per FedEx recommendations), we had no problems with duties. I don't know the dollar/euro cut-off for duties, but for a recomended $30 gift everyone sending to Europe should be fine.
Looking forward to giving ... and receiving.
