I have not received anything as of this morning. I am still hopeful that Santa was only delayed due to flying on USAir or Comair.

Thank you Secret Santa

Well I finally got the third piece of my present -- a postcard from Spain with another lovely poem from my Secret Santa. And the presents are the best!! One is a book called The Immigrants, which is a historical novel about Swedish immigration to America. Apparently I received Volume One of a 4-volume set. I have only read the introduction so far but already I can tell that this is going to be a good book! My second present is a fantastic kit bag from e-bags, just the perfect size for my traveling. It has already inspired envious looks from Mr.KSinNYC.

Thank you Secret Santa for your personal touches, poems and thoughtful gifts! If you are in the SF Bay Area, please do email me so I can thank you in person.

I <HEART> my Secret Santa!!!!

I came home from work today and had 2 more gifts to open!

One with a birthday card that had a martini charm on the front (ever so appropriate) containing a decadent chocolate croquette, and a "goddess" charm.

And another with a new years card containing a GORGEOUS new scarf! It will be perfect to wear out for my FT birthday dinner this week!

Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!!

A parcel from Scotland just arrived for me...! It was first delivered on the 23rd but as nobody was at home they tried again today...

Many, many thanks for two nice little airplane models! They will find a dust-free spot near my work-desk, in view when I need to dream of a getaway in First class...

Secret Santa

After some FedEx consternation my batch of cheese arrived today, thanks to JesseJ! Also thanks to Wharvey for being the SecSan don. FT continues to amaze me with its generosity.

Got mine

I collect spare change during my (infrequent) international travels; my SS sent me coins and bills from all over the world. South America, Central America, Singapore, Southeast Asia, Europe. Wow! Even some Reichmarks from the DDR and coins from the WWII era. VERY VERY COOL!

They also included an in-flight catalog and luggage tag from the Concorde -- though I've never had the privledge of flying it, I now own a piece of history.

Thanks so much! If you're evern in Kansas City, do email me so I can thank you in person.

I sent my gift overseas this year and the USPS made me attach a customs form on the outside of the package which explicitly lists the contents. I tried to point out that it's a GIFT and supposed to be a SURPRISE, but they'd hear none of it.

I mailed the week before Christmas so it should be there any day now....

Lump of coal for me...

Still nothing from my Secret Santa. Oh well - it's better to give than to receive anyway, and it sounds like my recipient was happy with his present.

Happy New Year all!

I'm batting .500 the other way. I received a very nice gift, but I'm not sure if my recipient ever received my gift?

Gang,

I just returned from NYC earlier today... just sent out messages to see where things are...

I sincerely apologize to those of you who have not received your gifts yet... hopefully they are on their way.

William
