I received an envelope today and found, inside, a gift-wrapped tube measuring 2.5 inches in diameter and 10 inches in length. Naturally, I immediately assumed it was from my Used Italian Girlfriend and contained a made-to-fit condom.
Imagine my surprise when I noticed that it had been mailed from Wellington. I thought that she was giving me a hint that I needed some new zeal and energy.
But no! It was my Secret Santa gift. Inside that tube was rolled up a fascinating photo of the Wellington waterfront that is one meter long. (To be clear, the photo is one meter long. The actual waterfront is considerably larger.)
I love it and as soon as I can get a frame made that is 6.5 centimeters high by 1 meter in length, the picture will be posted in my computer room as a reminder of this great thread.
Thank you, William, for starting the thread and my very big thanks to my Secret Santa (and, yes, I figured out who you are!)

An update from Santa:
I have emailed all of the final assignments.... so, check your emails... and get to me immediately if you did not get it...
Please work to get your packages in the mail as soon as possible; especially for those of you who have giftees in other countries.
I am really pleased to see all the new people who are participating for the first time.... look forward to hearing about your experiences.
William

Santa wants to publicly thank the person who sent him a gift from France as appreciation for coordinating this experience.
It is my pleasure to give back to this community.
The gift was greatly appreciated.
Thanks again,
Santa aka William

Hey, this isn't fair... I received the box today with my gift in it, but was told in an anonymous email from my Santa that I'm not allowed to open it until at least Hannukah starts... Why do I always have to be the one who's head makes him honor those requests?

A question for everyone:
Would you be comfortable eating homemade goodies sent by your SS? Would you be suspicious of cookies made by a total stranger or would you trust that your FT friends would only ship Chocolate-Dipped Triple Coconut Macaroons made with the utmost of care and in the highest of sanitary conditions?
