Strange, I used the free Tiscali dial up got very good connections every time (after I learned to put 3 commas in after the initial "9" for an outside line).

Attention: Dorlee
Dorlee, if you read this before you check your e-mail, just want you to know that you left a lot of clothes at AiMori. Anyway, Marco has fedexed them to your home. Details in the e-mail.

Dorlee dressed very well in VCE and I never saw her wear the same thing twice. I'm assuming she left her clothes behind for one of three reasons: 1. They were disposable designer clothes. 2. It was less of a hassle to leave them behind than to drag them home and have them dry-cleaned. 3. She bought so much Murano glass that, when she packed to go home, it was either take home the dirty clothes or the clean glass. The glass won. |

dorlee was indeed a fashion plate, treating us all to one stunning outfit after another.
Maybe she brought so many clothes that she just couldn't remember them all. :D |
KLC, would you please remove the link to my rough photos. I like to take a lot of pictures of people but am very careful never to post an unattractive picture of anyone. I only post my photos after they have been edited to remove any photos that someone might consider unflattering.
My edited pictures can be found here. If I have errored in my judgment and included a photo that someone doesn't like, please let me know and I will delete it from my album. |

Following was a prophetic post in this thread from a couple months ago....

I enjoy rain and other assorted meteorological events as I experience virtually no weather in Southern California. So when traveling, I look forward to seeing rain, thuderstorms, snow, the occasional blizzard, whatever. But here's what I see when I travel: Sun  If I spend a week in Florida, New Orleans, Seattle or other places known for their weather, a climatic shift will occur upon my arrival. Low pressure areas dissipate. Droughts set in. Rain clouds disappear. You get my drift. Leave your raincoats and boots at home and save some room in your luggage to haul back souvenirs. Mark my words on this. While we are in Venice, folks will stare at the blazing sun in wonderment and make such comments as: " We have NEVER seen so many dry days as we are experiencing this week." " It's typically raining this month but for some unknown reason we've been spared" " What a SUPERB stretch of weather we have for you this week, Signor Cholula!! " Of course they will be speaking in Italian and I won't understand what they are saying. But I'll recognize the fingers pointing to the sun and the overwhelming joy on their faces. I've seen it many, many times before......:(. |
