Seeking employment in Denver, CO, USA

Today was my last day of work, and I am now unemployed pending immigration to the USA (visa on hand, now it's just packing and other things related to winding up here in Tokyo). If anyone has any good job-hunting tips to spare (that are not related to web searches or job sites), or know of any open positions, please do think of me.

In the meantime: I am seeking employment in Denver, CO, on a permanent, contract, project, or temporary basis, and will be available for interviews in Tokyo up to November 16 and in Denver from November 18. I have work permission in the USA (immigrant visa/green card).

I am literate, well-traveled, speak two languages fluently (English and Mandarin), am functional in 3 additional languages (Cantonese, Malay, Japanese), and have very little problem with jet lag. I'm good with computers and pick up most skills fairly quickly. I have experience in banking, education, and sales, have conducted a few small (less than 10 participants) seminars, and I also have some minor (unofficial) project/event management experience.

I would love any job leads in Denver involving international travel (preferably sales or consulting, and preferably to Asia). I am also open to telecommuting positions as long as they allow me to reside in Denver when I'm off-duty (eg. as the local functionary for a company seeking a presence in Denver). Resume etc to follow.

Looking for an experienced salesperson based in Australia

New York company seeks a highly motivated sales executive to handle all Australia and New Zealand sales. This is a purely commission-based position (with a modest draw against commissions) that nonetheless requires a full-time (and beyond) commitment, but the rewards could be substantial for the right person. The incumbent in this position has no sales experience, is not an Australian, is working from New York, and does not have sales as his primary responsibility. Despite all that, he is selling over US$100,000 monthly to customers from Australia and New Zealand, translating to over US$10,000 in monthly commissions. The company will provide all sales leads, although the sales executive would be encouraged to develop his or her own leads as well.

The successful candidate will be energetic, self-motivated, personable, and possessed of some experience in selling high-quality products to companies and/or affluent individuals our average sale is about US$3,000). Hospitality industry experience and relationships with travel agencies would be a big plus. All necessary training, software and hardware will be provided by the company. This will initially be a home-based position but once both sides are certain that this is a good match, office space will be provided as well as a trip to New York for a more thorough look at the business and the product.

We are looking for a graphic designer to create a logo for a website that is currently being developed to list all airports with the Nude-O-Scope. While we can't pay anybody, you would have the gratitude of many FTers, as well as the recognition on the website that the logo/branding was created by you. This website is going to be sent to major news networks, so it might result in increased visibility for you.

I'd like to try and have a logo ready by next Monday, if possible, as that is the day we go live to the public..

Please PM me if you have any questions, or can volunteer! :)
