Hi - I'm looking for a finance position (legal or business) - currently in Chicago, but can relocate or travel up to 100%.

I'm currently an in-house counsel at the FDIC and have spent approximately the last ten years as a commercial restructuring / secured lending / bankruptcy / insolvency attorney in private practice. I am also a MBA candidate concentrating in finance.

My term at the FDIC ends in the 2Q 2013, so its never to early to start looking and networking!

Ideally, I would like to work for a private equity firm or investment bank that specializes in distressed opportunities. I am open to business and legal positions, or a combination of both.

If you work in this area, I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to speak with you to learn more about your field.

Thanks

Hi - unfortunately it was recently announced that my office (and my job) are being eliminated next year:

http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2...-receiverships

As it accelerates my job search, I was wondering if anyone has any leads on any in-house legal positions, specifically in banking or financial services, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you.

CA Atty/UK Solicitor Construction law

For the second time in 18 months I've been laid off (which isn't terribly surprising given lack of construction activity in CA) so I'm looking for a new position. In a nutshell:

CA attorney since 1999
UK Solicitor (non-practising) since 2008
US & EU citizen
Oil brat -- 10 years in Saudi Arabia as child
Grad of top 50 US law school
Graduate Diploma Construction Law, Univ of Melbourne expected 2012
literate, numerate & willing to travel ;)

Looking for a new position handling construction matters and have experience of following areas:
  • contracts (drafting, negotiating)
  • claims management & analysis (during construction & afterwards, payment, delays, price increases, LDs, defects, settlement negotiations)
  • alternative dispute resolution (mediations, informal resolution processes)
  • litigation (construction defects, payment, delays, LDs, price increases)
  • insurance claims & reporting
  • private and public works project experience
  • law firm and in-house experience

Also interested in moving into Project Finance and Oil & Gas/Energy areas. Very interested in re-locating overseas (where things are actually going on instead of staying in CA which is rapidly sinking....) including Singapore, Australia, NZ, UAE, London... or anywhere else that actually has construction work (Texas)!

PM me if you have any leads or for full resume/CV. Thanks in advance for any leads or interest!

I am a recently retired Naval Flight Officer who is exploring the job market trying to find my next career (or as I like to say - figure out what I want to be when I grow up). In my 20+ years, I have held numerous and varied leadership positions covering the gamut of one direct report, crews of 23, divisions of over 100, and departments of over 30. My education is a BS in Aerospace Engineering and a Masters of Aeronautical Science specializing in both Aviation/Aerospace Operations and Aviation/Aerospace Safety. My indoctination into FT came when I was working within Naval Research and Development as a Project Officer and Test Director, needing to travel to our three prime contractors covering both Coasts and the Heartland. I hold a high security clearance and have a background in aviation; program management; integration, test, and evaluation; security programs; aircraft maintenance; operations; administration; scheduling; instruction; and maritime intradiction and counter-piracy.
I open to career opportunities that will allow me to capitalize on my skill sets and experiences, either in my current home area outside Oklahoma City, or relocating to either Phoenix or Tucson. So if anyone has any leads here on FT, I would appreciate it.

5 yrs experience in helping customers achieve 20%+ improvement in execution, which translates into faster projects and higher throughput
Ideally would prefer travel <50% (currently 100% travel)

IT Auditor in Pittsburgh

My department is looking for an IT auditor with 2-5 years of experience in the Pittsburgh, PA area. General responsibilities would include ERP implementation support, assistance in operational audits and SOx work.

Historically, travel has been about 30%, primarily longhaul international trips to various 'interesting' destinations. Great for airline miles, not so great for hotel points.

Shoot me a message if this is what you're looking for and I can provide more information.

IT Systems Administrator. Primarily Windows, primarily middleware app management (.NET, some Weblogic and JBOSS). 13 years server/systems management experience.

Have been told layoffs are coming, just trying to get my feelers out in case I'm on that list.

I'm currently working as a software consultant (mostly business intelligence on the Microsoft side of the house) and I am looking to change careers and work in the international affairs and government industry. I am in a position to be able to take an internship and/or junior position. I currently have a Bachelor's degree in computer science. I can send a resume upon request. PM for more information.

Thank you,
