just checking if anyone can confirm that the restaurant on sat night also does non seafood dishes.. i know one person attending who always eats beef and black bean when we go to seafood places, and he may need to make a tactical stop by burger king on saturday..

Hello everyone, I am currently in LHR waiting for TG911 (can't they change that flight number ??) to BKK. Providing no problems arise collecting tickets in BKK will be on SQ63 on Saturday arriving 14.40 and staying at the Conrad.

I am another non-seafood eater and it looks like I may not be alone ! Looking forward to it. As I don't know anyone I presume it won't be difficult to find the FT'ers at the Conrad ? :) .

Well we are on our way. I still have no upgrades for the return flight home. Looking forward to seeing everyone on Sarturday and will meet up at the Conrad lobby.

We'll be in the lobby bar from 6pm onward, ready to jump in the van that Mike has obtained at 6:30pm. Our group will easily be the largest, so should be quickly identifiable. Or, you can be gutsy and ask whoever you see in the lounge if they are FTers. ;)

Y is oversold by between 35 and 115 on all the eastbound
transpacs on Monday with C not more than half on some.

On the other hand, she's not going to show up at all,
because she can't get out on the 17th on any airline!

At this point, I have an extra bed at the Marina Mandarin
if anyone is hard up for accommos; if I don't hear by
Saturday lunch, though, I'll change my reservation.

P.S. According to its website, No Signboard has chicken
and bean curd dishes. Also some nice-sounding vegetable
dishes, but some shrimp or oyster sauce or conpoy will
probably sneak into most of them unless you specifically
request otherwise.

I should be coming for lunch as well on Saturday and I should be driving too. So what all the massagees can do is head to down to either Chinatown for the massage or the association for the visually handicapped to get the massage... :)

i am currently on my way, right now on the swiss lounge pc <so pardon the errors< i thought i would try slumming it in their first class lounge after my lovely dinner in virgins clubhouse. my flight leaves at 9.10 and i am all set in seat 4a on sq first. i did take a couple of pics of the virgin lounge, but will not do the same for swiss--both business and first are equally bad.
once again sorry for the typing but who would have thought they would have a swiss computer keyboard here. also who would have thunk there would be so many y in a note.ü¨öä$

Sean and I are checked in for the party flight from HKG to SIN tonight (17G & H), it is going to be leaving on time..but still have a full day's work to do !

Oh, pauvre babe! Did you want a pity award?!? If someone (ahem... you) had been at home sleeping instead of out slumming about the night before your a.m. flight, maybe you wouldn't have missed your flight?!? And you could be here in SIN slumming about with me already? :D :p

We would have been right next to each other... I was supposed to be in 15A SFO-NRT, then 13A NRT-SIN. With the delayed SFO-NRT flight, UA moved me to SFO-HKG-SIN (25F and 17A). I kept looking for a FT tag or something, but didn't see anyone with any FT gear. Oh well. :(

I just called UA in HKG, the SFO inbound will arrive just after 8pm, the outbound to SIN (ex ORD) is going to leave on time at 8pm.

So the people travelling on those flights may well end up overnight in HK.

I told the UA agent that they should seriously consider delaying the outbound to SIN, as it only stands there overnight after arrival.

She said, 'well we can't do that' shall see what the ground crew at airport think tonight.

The ORD crew is in the Hong Kong RCC waiting for the next leg to SIN. There is still hope the SFO flight be arrive in time. Haven't found GK and Sean but I'm sure they will be by shortly.

Well, we did try our darnest best to get them to delay the flight for you guys. GK talked to every UA staff that crossed his path!

Anyhow, we were thinking of delaying the lunch tomorrow or at least waiting for you guys. Maybe someone with a GSM mobile can PM me your number and we can try to arrange from there!

Alternatively, what we could do is to arrange an alternative meeting point in Chinatown since we're headed there after the lunch anyhow. Maybe we could meet at the fare gates of Chinatown MRT station at 2pm? What say you guys?

Ok, all you folks stuck in HKG....

Firstly, we in SIN are glad that you are going on SQ C!!! Not a bad deal afterall!!! :cool:

Secondly, we have decided to keep lunch at the original time considering that we are going to have a power dinner at 1900hrs. So, if you guys can make it, give me a holler (I've PM-ed you guys my local cell number) and we'll wait at the restaurant. If not, we'll see you guys at Chinatown at the fare gates of the Chinatown MRT station.

Finally, we took some great pictures of the empty seats in the upper deck!!! :p :D

Arrival of the UA contingent from HKG continues to slide. We rebooked onto SQ in biz, but they would only take us in coach. Oddly, UA HKG has a better relationship with CX. I am now posting from the Pier, awaiting our flight to SIN.

We'll see folks in the Conrad lobby bar tonight to head out for pepper crab together.

ws8n, UA put us up at the Airport Hotel and gave us dinner (with some urging) and breakfast.
