I figured it was someone who heard me say I didn’t like IPAs when we were at J Rieger. Lol

I'd gladly come rescue it if the drive from Lawrence wasn't so far Or you could bring it with you on Saturday if you are joining dhammer53 and I for lunch

I am watching CBS Mornings today and they are in K.C. for the National Women's Soccer League tournament this weekend. They just featured Dixon's, famous for their chili. Looks like a great stop!

This got me thinking. I know, a scary thought and I should just stop but...any thoughts on dates for MCI-BBQ Do 2025? Will there be one?

I’ll have to add Dixon’s to my list! As to 2025, I am targeting the first weekend of May for the DO. This helps to avoid Mother’s Day and the various college graduations taking place later in the month. There was some thought of hosting this the weekend prior (Apr 25-27), but it’s fairly close to the Japan DO for those who would like to attend both events. My goal is to have a thread up in mid-late Dec. with more details!

As much as I'd like to attend the BBQ Do, neither weekend works with my schedule, as I'll be in Italy.

My free airport ride offer is still out there for any FTer coming to town outside of the BBQ DO. Happy to meet up for drinks, food, etc. anytime!

May 2 is Mrs dhammer53 birthday. While I'd like to spend that weekend with my travel friends, my wife would prefer anyplace else. Maybe she should visit her brother in FLL.

I have an event at my house the weekend of May 10, so I would prefer the first weekend in May for MCI. If anyone is interested in visiting AK in mid- May, please PM me about my event. It is something I have been doing for several years, so something of a tradition.

I was able to book a point saver award at the Westin, giving a value of about 1.5 cents per Marriott point May 2-4! Please report ASAP if the dates change!
