This is off topic for the thread but since some people are puzzled about [ARG:4 UNDEFINED] - this issue is known to IB and is being looked into. When you like a post you may sometimes see your own handle appearing as [ARG:4 UNDEFINED] or [ARG:6 UNDEFINED] but everyone else can see your handle correctly.

If anyone is interested there is some discussion in the following thread in Technical Support and Feedback.

Yeah, Nagoya is not currently on our itinerary which includes Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka. But could be persuaded to include a stop to see areas that are of interest for tourists.

We could also skip Nagoya and do Tokyo for a 3rd time since it has been 3 years of Japan being closed. We can plan Nagoya for 2024.

It all sounds interesting... Not sure if I could manage the entire plan, but certainly the drinks and dinner. What sort of dinner is it going to be?

Just as you are or do I have have to get a penguin suit sort of dinner

You can see how long I have been registered on FlyerTalk. But I did not learn about Japan Do in 2014 until after I had already booked myself into a Japan trip. Just like you.

I was 'dressed up' for the Official Dinner in 2014, but this was the dressing I wore.

I'm not sure about my work schedule this far ahead. But I'm interested in visiting Nagoya!

Bummer that week is our spring break so we will be in Okinawa and probably not back to Tokyo until the weekend.

Good news

Just discovered this thread.
Happy to be in Japan again after 4 years.
Flights are booked: incoming Friday 7th evening at NRT, and leaving Monday 10th around noon from NRT.
So I'll be in Tokyo conveniently, but could also travel to Nagoya or somewhere else on Saturday and Sunday.

I will most likely be there, I can schedule work there as well so it'll be convenient for me. Just a short hop from Korea anyway

Oh Tokyo definitely is better for me for this trip, but I'm open to other options

Quick question - is the meal organised already or is it a "pay per person" deal?

Just want to know in advance so I can juggle things around and plan accordingly

In the past we had set-price multi-course Japanese meals with "all you can drink" (nomi-houdai) for 3 hours. Here are links to posts about Do Dinners from 2017 (Tokyo) and 2019 (Sapporo). We usually managed to get our own private room. Since we are likely to be a smaller group this year we could be a little more flexible.
